I would guess...
part of Noc getting "postered" so much is his willingness to go up against someone despite the small chance he might make a play. Most guys would just give up on a guy dunking.

not a shot blocker
Noc gets dunked on because he can't jump or block shots and he tries for charges

Watch those clips...
he wasn't trying to draw charges on any of those. That's flopping.

Hmmm...
I don't get this obsession with being posterized or whatever. Going up to block a dunk, but avoiding the foul, and the guy making the dunk seems to me nothing to be ashamed of. But I'm not an NBA player so I guess I don't get it. Maybe Nocioni should just start shoving the guys in the side with his off-hand and slamming them to the floor. Guys might stop dunking on him then.

and he'd be SENDING A MESSAGE
(sorry, couldn't resist after the Posey fiasco ;-))

Nocioni
The reason Nocioni gets posterized so much is his unwillingness to give up easy buckets. It's the same thing with Mourning, except Mourning occasionally stuffs the dunk right back in the guys face. One of the few enjoyable things associated with the Heat.

Nocioni
agree with most the comments that nocioni just goes for it everytime even when there is lil chance that he will be able to block the shot. It doesnt have to do much with how high nocioni jumps, in fact his vertical leap is pretty good for a white 6 7 guy with facial hair.  Its mostly that he isnt that tall or have a large wingspan and he often tries to block shots from difficult angles or positions.

Anyways, its kind of funny.  Everytime there are those highlight reels for  games on tnt or things like that, the bulls always seem to be on the wrong side of the court, mostly nocioni getting dunked on.

I hate how often the Bulls get shown
on the short end on all the highlights shows!  It seems like even when the Bulls win all the highlights are of the other team, then at the end it's like "Oh, yeah, but the Bulls won."  Plus they always seem to get shoved to the end of the show.

Eventually...
...Tyrus Thomas can alter that a bit.

Nocioni
He will make a stop or a block like 2% of the times, so I think that he has more balls than the average NBA player who will step aside to get out of the photo.
