JR Smith and PJ Brown

JR Smith and PJ Brown for Chandler and Allen is proposed...i dont like this deal for the Bulls...they just got Allen locked up, and if they get Big Ben he and Chandler could be the best defensive front court in the NBA. I think that they could be a very good team together and if they end up not getting big Ben and they do this deal...they lose the only front court defender they have.

this trade
Sucks ass...sorry, but Brown is OLDDDDD, yes he is experienced and wise.....but he prob has 2 years left max, and JR seems to not buy into the team concept at all.

and whats with the Chandler hating on this site?? The guys a 7-1 defensive force and has in no way reached his prime yet. He has averaged only 24.4 minutes a game up to this point, is 1st in the league for rebounds per48 and in the top 15 for blocks, and has a lot of improving to do... and hes only 24.

So he cant score points as yet - big deal, he does everything else well... No way would you give up that for PJ.

Maybe a sign and trade with the Hornets?
If the Hornets are looking to make a deal, now that we have a lot more cap space than they do we can sign Ben Wallace for five years for them in exchange for PJ's and Mason expiring contract plus their 1st rounder this upcoming year.

With that kinda of fire power it would be hard to imagine them not making the playoffs. And all we have to do is hold onto a couple of contracts for a year in order to make a little investment for the future.

not a fan of that
sorry, but would much rather see them sign Ben for themselves and not do this trade

it's being reported on New Orleans TV
new orleans TV reports "a deal is on the table" to send PJ Brown to the Bulls for Tyson Chandler.

JR Smith is also rumored to be in the deal.

this is being rumored about on a hornets message board. the guy that "broke" the story also had accurate details ahead of time about the PEJA deal and then that happened. don't know how "inside" he is, but seems credible.

what is NOT CLEAR is if this is a S&T scenario with Detroit (makes NO sense) or if Bulls management has really decided to move forward without Chandler.

The Detroit Free Press is suggesting that the Bulls are just looking to dump Chandler and are still eyeing a more "offense oriented" guy in Troy Murphy (NOOOOOOO!!).

that is all.

I like it
If you consider Wallace an upgrade over Chandler, we add some more experience with PJ Brown, who I've always thought was versitile and underrated. He's one of those guys who shows up every night and does a little bit of everything. Plus his $8M contract will come off the books next summer, so we're not committing for that long. An upgrade over Othella.

As for J.R. Smith, he's tall and athletic. Can never have too much of that. Him and Thabo are a definite upgrade over Pike and Basden.

Nice job, Pax.

Armstrong
think we have a chance of New Orleans throwing in Armstrong?
