Dinner with Skiles

This is just awesome:

LaMarcus Aldridge got a taste of what it's like to be coached by Scott Skiles on Tuesday night when Skiles and Bulls general manager John Paxson took him to dinner downtown.

"Scott Skiles came across as a very focused and determined man," Aldridge said after a solo workout for the Bulls on Wednesday. "At the table, he stared at me for five or 10 minutes and didn't say anything. I was kind of wondering, 'Did I do something wrong?' After a while, he started to open up and we had a great time. I had thought he was going to be quiet the whole night, and I was kind of scared."

HA
That's hilarious. Skiles just stares the kid down at dinner.  I bet you more was figured out in those 5-10 minutes than all of the draft analysis put together.

Steak House
I think it's usually Gibson's, Tavern on Rush, or somewhere in the "Viagra Triangle"

Actually
it was the applebees.  after the awkward stare down, the waitress approached Skiles and said "Coach, can you give me a hand for a minute".  She then surprised him by having him hang a picture memoralizing his accomplishments.  The fact that said picture was signed by Tim Thomas, Eddie Robinson, Isaiah Thomas, Jared Fogle, God and Galactacus brought Skiles to tears.  It's a fact.  I was there.

LOL!
That may be my favorite comment ever. You know I have a soft spot for that Applebees commercial.

Maybe he gets
a nervous stomach being away from home. Isn't he the one who has never been away from home other than away games in college?
