Suns' Barbosa leaves team after passing of his mother

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Phoenix Suns guard Leandro Barbosa has returned to his native Brazil following the passing of his mother, Ivete.
Barbosa will not be with the team in Sacramento, where the Suns face the Kings on Friday. His return is undetermined.
Barbosa, the 2006-07 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, is averaging 10.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in nine games this season.
