All is quiet on the Carmelo Anthony front, but there's still expected to be a resolution soon. Right now, it appears as if Anthony is favoring the Knicks. New York has reportedly offered him a max contract of five years, $129 million. For his part, Anthony has also started gauging Pau Gasol's interest in playing in New York.
- Pau Gasol, who the Bulls (+ Joakim Noah) met with in Los Angeles two days ago. Gasol is also being targeted by the Knicks, Thunder, Spurs and Heat.
- Nikola Mirotic, who the Bulls are currently negotiating with. K.C. Johnson reports "Mirotic is hoping for assurances from the Bulls that he won't be traded before completing his roughly $3.4 million buyout from Real Madrid."
Elsewhere around the NBA:
- Chris Bosh could be willing to leave Miami for a max contract if he isn't offered one by the Heat. He would have a lot of suitors.
- Our old friend Luol Deng is also meeting with Miami today:
