Deng/Afflalo/Bynum Trade

I feel like Bill Simmons the way I've been working the Trade Machine these days, especially trying to make something work to get Arron Afflalo, and I haven't been able to come up with anything that would work for both teams. But what if Orlando was willing to get rid of Arron, just to suck so bad they almost guarantee a top 3 pick? Right now they sit at #6, according to projections on ESPN, but they are statistically just as close to #7. But I found a way to lose them 4 more games, which would put them with the number 2 pick.

Trade Machine

Bulls - Arron Afflalo/Tyler Zeller/C.J. Miles

Cavs - Deng

Orlando - Bynum/Bulls First Rounder

Cavs get their guy and finally, a SF worth something. They want to be respectable, and this would give them the leg up on resigning Deng, which is what they want, because there is no way Lebron is actually going back there, at least until the end of his career. He'll just let the rumors linger, so that Cleveland can get it's hopes dashed again.

Orlando gets to cut Bynum, make money, and suck more and go for a real franchise player. And we know that the only way they get them is through the draft. He'll leave in 5-6 years, but it will be fun while it lasts! I'd even through in our 1st rounder if need be to get this done.

Bulls get Arron Afflalo and a back-up center not named Nazr (Tyler Zeller), plus C.J. Miles.

This year, we still make the playoffs, so our pick isn't great. And next year...

Plus the Charlotte pick - best available player.

That's a really good seven man rotation (playoffs) and Snell and Augustin rounding out the 9 man isn't bad. I just wish for once, the Bulls were on the offensive when it came to making the team better, rather than always waiting for things to come to them. When you wait, you get terrible offers, or you lose guys for nothing. But then again, the Bulls FO has been way better at drafting then they have at trades. But for the money they get, they should be working to get better as hard as Thibs is!
