Came across this while doing some research on Greg oden's horribleness, and Jimmy's ranking at 17th overall on the FTA/FGA list surprised me. Here is some insight:
1) After eliminating all the Hack-A-Shaq'd players (Dwight, Evans, Turiaf etc.), which is crossed out on the image, Jimmy came in 9th in the league.
2) Among only guards and forwards, Jimmy came in 6th. Furthermore, when only perimeter plays are considered (circled their position in red in the image, Jimmy was 4th in the league behind James Harden, Kevin Durant, and... Dahntay Jones* (!). Still, that is very encouraging. In fact, Jimmy was effective getting to the line as a rookie in very limited minutes too, with an absurdly high (and unsustainable) 0.7 free throw attempts per FGA (56 FTA to 79 FGA).
* Dahntay does have a decent career FTA/FTA ratio of 0.4. However, Jimmy did have about twice as many free throw attempts as him last season.
