[Jacked from the Dunleavy post -yfbb]
Seems like a solid big man prospect as a backup. Hes got solid athleticism, good motor, good length. Hes a “real” 7 footer who seems very active…Asik-lite?..heres a video of the big
He gets very little play time in Detroit (for good reason, they have quite a few good big men there) and detroit might be willing to take him for cash considerations. Or maybe they would like rip back?
other options that can be had with our exception or rip alone:
-Hasheem thabeet: Has two years left on his contract, both years are unguaranteed, owed only about 1million per.
-Brendon Haywood:2 year contract essentially cuz aint no one picking up that team option, 2 mil per
-Gustavo Ayon: On a cheap rookie deal, hes a nice gritty backup.
-Greg Steisma-another backup bench center, works super hard to make up for his complete lack of skill. Average on boards and d. Very cheap deal under 1 mil.
-Marcus Camby: The oft injured former defensive monster. Hed add depth, but hes only slightly better than nazr when healthy. Hes making near 5 million and nyk might be fine with letting us take him for nothing
-Lavoy Allen: an enigma in philly, hes shown flashes of brilliance especially on defense guarding Cs, but seems so disinterested at times that its frustrating. On a cheap rookie deal. Another guy would be Spencer Hawes, trading rip and thomas makes it possible. I think philly likes hawes though.
