Or perhaps not. Perhaps he sincerely believes in his heart, as is quoted in this Fox Sports Florida article that the Bucks really can defeat the Heat in 6 games. They've had their success in the past, after all, having beat Miami once this season by nearly 20 points and having given 'The Big Two and a Half' trouble when small guards like Jennings and Ellis take advantage of their speed and occasional hot perimeter shooting. I believe that he's lost his mind though.
This isn't like the 2006 Mavericks being defeated by the eighth seed Warriors in the first round of the playoffs. Their were obvious match-up issues and an absurdly hot shooting Golden State team that had all of the confidence in the world. No, this is the 2013 Bucks who finished the regular season 38-44 and whose trash-talking culprit has a career field goal percentage under 40%. So yes, this is probably lunacy.
Of course, if this prediction were to come true, it would probably top the Joe Namath Super Bowl prediction mentioned in the article. So I'll be half-heartedly cheering on the Bucks and hoping for the best. Assuming the Bulls can keep their duct tape-held together roster healthy enough to survive the Nets, I would LOVE a second round match-up with all home games between the United Center and United Center North. Go... Bucks?
