This one will be quick. I saw a comment on the Rose thread yesterday about possibly trading up to get a lotto pick and draft Ben McLemore. I wanted to open up discussion on two things.

1) What would we have to give up?

2) Is he really worth it?

I will say quickly to #2, he is definitely a top 5 talent, but maybe not a sure fire #1 in my mind. The talent and skills are all there, consistency and performance are my bigger questions. He has the skill set of the guy we have all been dreaming of pairing with Rose. Realistically, at this point, the only kinds of SG's we will get to put with him are either old guys on cheap deals, young guys with character problems, Paul George in 2014, or a draft pick.

As for #1, I think it really depends on who wants to pick him. If Charlotte has the #1, they would conceivably want him or Nerlens (to compliment Kemba and MKG). I see the minimum we give up for this deal to happen is Deng, Bobcat pick, our 1st. We would probably have to give up Mirotic as well if he is any higher than #3.

Thoughts? This is obviously a move none of us see coming from GarPax, but let's dream a bit.
