First, a little math on the subject. My calculations are that the Bulls are currently $246k under the hard cap. At the moment, we don't have enough room to sign another free agent for the remainder of the season, because the pro-rated minimum salary of $854,389 for our remaining 28 games would come out to $291,743. Which would put the Bulls over the hard cap.
So, they'll have to wait until after 5 more games, at which point they would only have to pay a player $239,646 to join the team for the rest of the season.
That would mean the Bulls can sign someone on Sunday March 3, before our game against the Pacers.
Who's available? Well, no one very good.
Lou Amundsun
DJ White apparently has interest from Boston and Kenyon Martin is supposedly signing with the Knicks.
I still want Jerome Jordan.
Anyone else we should be interested in?
