I'm very likely not alone in trying to refresh Twitter (and BaB) often hoping for some further news on the right knee injury Derrick Rose suffered on Friday night.
But it looks like we'll have to wait for a while today, as Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! said it was still going to be 'hours' away, and KC Johnson followed up by saying it wouldn't be until the evening (evening our time, afternoon in L.A. where Rose is getting the MRI).
So now we wait. I normally am all about premature speculation and what it could mean if the worst possible news is the correct one, but I think I can give it a few hours before I start thinking that way. Maybe.
The only known is that we don't know. There are catastrophic-looking knee injuries that turn out to be minor, and innocuous ones that turn out to be really bad (think Rondo's tear last year, he stayed in that game). Rose himself does have a profile of someone who'd suffer a full ACL tear, simply because he's had one before. But here's hoping it's not that.
