Jimmy Butler is going to play tonight, according to Thibs. So that's good.
on to the bad...
Thibodeau said Noah and Hinrich are "not very" close to returning. Asked specifically about the conditioning of Noah, who has played just 19 minutes, 45 seconds all camp due to a sore groin, Thibodeau said, "it's not very good." This would place Noah's availability for the Oct. 29 regular-season opener in Miami in jeopardy.
Noah put up shots after shootaround and said he feels better. But he did say missing the opener is a possibility.
"It’s possible," Noah said. "But I’m not there yet. In my mind, I’m playing. I want to be out there as soon as I can. We’ll see when that is."
Hinrich is doing a bit more (running!) but per league policy still has some tests to go through. On the bright side that's not up to the Bulls medical staff.
