If Rose gets healthy enough to play, he can be traded

I’m offering the Lakers Rose, Noah, and Boozer for Howard, Gasol, and Nash (Bulls have to throw VRad or Nazr into the trade to make it work). I can’t stomach Gasol anymore and this year have finally become a hater after defending him for years, but the fact that his contract is one less year than Boozer’s is nice, and the Lakers are looking to get rid of him.

I don’t know if the Lakers would be willing to blow it up, though I think there’s no chance the Bulls will even though they should. I’m more worried about Rose regaining elite status than Howard, and I just don’t see him turning down a max deal in Chicago since he will be "the man," but I think the Lakers have a very real concern that he will bolt for Dallas since that team is a disaster and Kobe is Kobe. And Bulls have to dump Hinrich in the trade. I probably valued this too highly!

I wanted the Bulls to trade for Rose for Howard before he got hurt, but yeah, I know these things only happen in fantasy land and this trade will never be discussed.

The Bulls will never win a title with Derrick Rose, they might with Dwight Howard. I’m not wrong given a strategy that seeks maximum title equity. For a strategy that seeks to be a good team always making the conference semifinals or finals, it would be a poor trade; here, the Bulls front office and fanbase appear to be well-matched.

(that post is barely readable, my apologies. Obviously given the content and the quality I have been hitting the bottle.)
