This is going to be a pretty simple, straight-forward post. Dwight Howard blew it. He wanted to go to Brooklyn, but he opted in to his last year of his contract. Now, the Nets are attempting to fill out their roster, which will make it so they have no cap space next year when Dwight actually becomes a free agent. Dwight is still claiming that he's only going to sign an extension with one team (Brooklyn), but what happens when he gets traded elsewhere and the Nets don't have the money to sign him in the free agent market? That's right, Dwight will be forced to reconsider his options. At that time, playing in a world class city with the best young point guard in the game in a city that's crazy for it's basketball team (even when they suck) will probably sound pretty f-ing great. So what should the Bulls offer? Joakim, the NG deals (Korver, Watson, Brewer), and the CHA pick for Howard and Hedo.

This deal saves the Magic a boatload of money, gets them a top 5 young center to replace Dwight, and gets them a future pick that could have real value. I think if the Bulls offer this deal, the Magic would pull the trigger today. I also think the Bulls *should* offer this deal today, even though I think Dwight is a huge insufferable douche, at least he'd be MY huge insufferable douche that'd be stacking up 60+ win seasons every year with Derrick throwing him lobs.
