Is a line from this story and I think it’s true. The Bulls aren’t going win a damn thing with their current self-imposed salary structure (on the league’s most profitable team).
I’d like the to see the org have the guts to burn it all down like the small-market team they act like would. I’d respect that more than pretending to be a big player (“oh, we tried to get player X but it didn’t work out….”).
I’m tired of the fake PR, like being a player for Roy. Be honest and trade off everyone but Rose for picks, fill the roster with d-league players for now…if they want to win a championship with their current spending limits, logic dictates the only way to do it is to get lucky in the draft again or acquire a player on a cheap contract that magically becomes awesome. So get started doing that Bulls and quit pretending to be a big roller like the Lakers, Heat, or Celtics.
