Congrats to the two who've expressed excitement over the news, but it always bothers me when unmarried celebrities are expecting and the media is compelled to mention how long the couple's been together. When married celebrities are expecting, reporters are less compelled to feel a need to qualify the relationship. Not saying it's reporters' faults, but is an interesting display of how conservative our culture is -- that because the default judgment is negative, there's a need to communicate to the public that this isn't just some one night stand gone whoopsy-daisy.

Rose's first child is expected to be born in October.

Now, I'll get off of my soapbox and ask you what nickname is best fit for the coming Baby Rose.
