I've been doing these 'geometric art' illustrations for WCG lately (see: Ditka and Urlacher), and I really wanted to create a Joakim Noah piece using this style. While I plan on creating more of this style in the future, I wanted to get your thoughts on who I should illustrate next? As you can tell from the WCG links, I'm going for a mix of old and new players / coaches, so hit up the comments below and let me know who you want to see in shapes and stuff!
As someone requested in my first thread over there, I should tell you about the process. I take an image that I like (ala Noah and his six shooters), and use that as my visual guide. Then I draw triangles mostly, with a splash of other geometric shapes, and fill them with contrasting colors. I try to find a balace between too many and too little, because I want people to be able to identify the character, without it being too realistic. That pretty much sums it up.
Additionally, I have been offering a 10% discount at my online store to my WCG peeps, and wanted to extend that offer to the fine folks at BaB. Since I can't control what discounts skreened (t-shirt store) offers, this offer only applies to my wall art and digital prints section. Just use coupon code CM-WCG-001 when you check out (good through the end of March).
