Around the NBA 02/03: Philly vs Flop City and more

The game is close to halftime, but hey, better late than never watching the flopsters going up against the guys who kicked our keesters. Later we got Boston and the NY Pringles going at it, followed by a denver vs lakers matchup.

i want to see ray ray go off on the pringlebockers

i hate both teams, but i think i dislike the pringles more.

I don't know

I get the feeling you really hate Stern more.

by m0chab34r on Feb 3, 2012 7:17 PM CST reply actions

IGGY!!

he may look like LeDouche but i would love to have him as the bulls SG. After Howard, hes the second guy i really wanted the bulls to get, but with philly succeeding, thats not gonna happen :(

been sayin that for a longggggggg time

i wish we traded for him when philly was a shitty team.

I been saying it

Since the middle of last year. He’s one of my favorite players tho so I’m a little biased lol

lol, hes very underrated

i would say hes very close to Deng’s level.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 7:47 PM CST up reply actions

i wouldnt say that

if u have seen how the bulls have been doin the past week without deng, ull realize what deng qualities mean to the bulls.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 9:35 PM CST up reply actions

i think he and deng are close to equal

deng is a better shooter, iguodala a better ball handler and distributer, both are really good defenders. i think with those two guys it kinda just depends on what you need. i like em both.

Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

iggy and young need to slow down LeChoke here

or, maybe LeChoke will do what he does best in the 4th Q!

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 7:49 PM CST reply actions

i daresay...

i think phillys defense is as good as ours. If not, slightly better.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 7:50 PM CST reply actions

tsk, well, i may have overestimated philly, lol

they are one superstar away from being dangerous. It looks like not having a star like rose is really hurting them against the heat.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 8:04 PM CST reply actions

yeah, i guess the sixers achilles heel among good teams are the heat...

their backcourt cant handle wade. Makes me appreciate rip and rose alot more on defense.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 8:11 PM CST up reply actions

what a terrible letdown by philly

i was expecting this game to go down to the wire…

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 8:12 PM CST reply actions

not fair

how they can have Haslem, Miller and Battier and three guys who should be starting for the East

I can't believe there was discussion

of Westbrook being on Rose level. Ridiculous

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on Feb 3, 2012 9:19 PM CST reply actions

morons, i actually had an arugment with a knicks fan bout this

saying shit bout rose and westbrooks PER being the same, hence, rose is not a superstar. That time i didnt know bout TS and eFG percentage…now, when you look at those stats, it shows how much better rose is than brooks.

by Geo4MVP on Feb 3, 2012 9:26 PM CST up reply actions

Paul George...wow

I think the Pacers are a very underestimated team. If George continues his progression I think the Pacers could be the second-best team or even best team in East by the playoffs. And I find that very disturbing, because they seem like jackasses.

Metta Warm Peas is putting up some whorrible numbers this year.

Shooting 32/15/63 in 21 minutes per game. And he’s not really a good defender anymore.

I wonder how many games this year

Kobe has shot more than Bynum and Gasol combined and made less baskets than both of them…

Currently: Kobe 7-20
Gasol and Bynum 13-19

What if the Lakers had Rose instead of Kobe?

Took a bad shot.

Dunno if Hubie jinxed them by saying they usually get a good shot and a good play off a timeout, but that went badly. 11 seconds and no good look at all.

im jealous of the nuggets bench

they have harrington, miller, and rudy as their bench scorers. I really think their bench is better than ours.

i feel like the way to beat the sixers is to constantly attack the hoop. their great perimeter defenders

dont close down driving lanes like deng does for instance; instead, they hawk on kick out passes and severely contest long range shots. their interior is weak, even with hawes. miami has the talent to attack a lot obviously, but i feel good teams with the discipline to attack the rim all the time can beat them pretty well.
