"According to agent Bill Duffy ... Przybilla is expected to make a decision Wednesday between signing with Miami, Chicago, Milwaukee or Portland ... or remaining idle at his home in Milwaukee, where he is an All-Star father to his two sons."

Update: Przybilla chooses Portland. Thanks, SRQman. At least it wasn't Miami.

I wonder if the Bulls are more interested in

signing him or just keeping him away from the Heat.

by Tim S. on Feb 22, 2012 11:07 AM CST up reply actions

i said this when this came up before

him joining the heat really doesn’t scare me.

Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

It's not that I'm scared, it's just that I'm gonna root against anything that has the possibility of making the Heat better

Even if he’s just cheap depth in the event that Anthony gets hurt or something, I’d still rather him not be there.

The doctors thought I died. My heart stopped beating for almost a minute. I came back, and weeks later, when people asked me what I remembered, I told them: "Omer Asik".

He doesn't do much that Anthony doesn't.

Supporter of Carlos Austin Boozer, and I don't want to see Dwight Howard in a Bulls uniform. Call me crazy.

I want a recount

I’ve been way more important to the success of Przybilla kids than he has.

should have asked for a trade

If we pick up another big man

it might mean we’re ready to package a couple of them in a trade…like say, noah/asik/etc for howard?

Sadly, you're right

Might just be fooling my self to help ease the eventual pains that lie ahead.

I’m actually making it worse with all this false hope.

I’m getting more depressed the more I keep writing

This is still a good roster

even if we don’t make a move. If Wade is injured come playoff time we will be the favorites in the East. As it is we are neck and neck with the heat. We played them well last year in the playoffs but we had a beat up team. And I doubt the Knicks can bring it all together in time. So for this year we are at least as good as anyone.

TL;DR

by metalkiwis on Feb 22, 2012 3:01 PM CST up reply actions

Hmm

I’d do that…But if Gasol plays like a bitch in the playoffs…What would happen here?

I can actually see this happening...

I pointed this out before, but maybe this is why Omer has been playing fewer minutes. I would support this trade even though I am a huge Omer fan and Boozer apologist.

by THEKILLERWHALE on Feb 22, 2012 2:53 PM CST up reply actions

It would make sense

If it weren’t too good to be true. I’d gladly give up Omer to upgrade to Pao. But how will we all feel in two years when Booz is off contract and we have an extra year of Gasol? Plus, though I doubt we will use it, we can’t amnesty Pau.

TL;DR

by metalkiwis on Feb 22, 2012 2:58 PM CST up reply actions

It is the opposite! Booz is signed through 2014/2015 whereas Gasol is signed through 2013/2014.

Shorter contract, incoming Euro-sensation PF to replace the euro PF. This would be awesome. As far as too good to be true, this may be true, but we are still dealing with the Lakers. They traded Odom for a trade exception. That is the definition of too good to be true. Also, they have a great impetus to move him and Omer is a pretty valuable piece. The Lakers have never been shy about taking on salary and are run by the owners idiot son. This could happen.

by THEKILLERWHALE on Feb 22, 2012 3:26 PM CST up reply actions

Oh shit

Hell yeah then it’s even more of an easy call.
It looks like the Odom deal may have been a good move for them right now. He is a mess this year and would just be another overpaid backup.
You think that they knew Odom was done? Do you think that they would ship out Pau unless he was clearly on the decline? The Lakers don’t “lose” too many trades.

Are they collecting old and injured centers?!?!?!?

This is stupid! All we want is a moderately shopworn center and they keep snatching them up! Can we get Eddy Curry for a 2nd rounder?
