And Thibs said, Let there be three's, and Deng shot threes
And Deng saw the three's, that they were good
And didn't shoot long two's anymore

Korver better not disappear come playoffs (again)

by cayal on Feb 14, 2012 7:44 PM CST reply actions

the problem with Korver is

its hard to hide him on defense vs Miami. He has no chance vs Wade and Lebron. His only chance to contribute is when Mike Miller or Battier is on the floor

by trig on Feb 14, 2012 7:47 PM CST up reply actions

Valid

and seeing as it is playoffs they won’t be on the bench much.

I suppose he isn’t quick enough to guard Chalmers or Cole and rotate every one else around to guard LeBron or Wade.

by cayal on Feb 14, 2012 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

though his improved D might make it possible for him to stick with Chalmers

Chalmers doesn’t possess the best lateral quickness. and he gets most of his points from waiting for a kick out to chuck it. i’m thinking Korver might be able to cover that.

by BULLieving in Miami on Feb 14, 2012 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

kinda been my fear

hopefully he slumps before the playoffs so he gets on a hot streak during. also, i’m hoping his improved D will keep him mentally involved. its gotta be tough knowing you’re sucking ass on D and thus must hit everything you put up in order to be a plus for the team.

by BULLieving in Miami on Feb 14, 2012 7:48 PM CST up reply actions

Korver’s defense is good enough to start the game

by k21c on Feb 14, 2012 7:47 PM CST reply actions

i was about to say the same thing

the way he shoots, he is a better option than Brewer and maybe even Hamilton

by Basketball Smurf on Feb 14, 2012 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

well, lets be real

its possible only one human can do that, the one that actually did it.

by BULLieving in Miami on Feb 14, 2012 7:54 PM CST up reply actions

i dunno

doing it in a game situation, and off an alley-oop, as well. and really, if you look at that play, it coulda turned out ugly for Lebron if he doesn’t pull it off.

by BULLieving in Miami on Feb 14, 2012 7:58 PM CST up reply actions

aw booz

don’t hurt yourself

The Bulls are starting to look bad without Rose

by k21c on Feb 14, 2012 8:35 PM CST reply actions

it looks like they are working way too hard for offense and it seems to be affecting their defense

by k21c on Feb 14, 2012 8:37 PM CST up reply actions

Jo is looking toooooo good these days

Teams adjust to offenses throughout the year.

This is about the time in which they would have enough tape and information to start planning for the Bulls offense with Rose. However, they’ve played enough games without him for there to be sufficient video to plan against the Bulls offense without Derrick. Derrick is that X-Factor, since he can typically score on you no matter what. Remove that, and teams can adjust more easily. I think that’s what we’re seeing.
