i cant believe no luol can really make that much of a difference
this is ridiculous.
Under construction.
the thing that scares me
is what if Lu coming back doesn’t make all that big a difference
Ive thought about that too
We havent put together a solid game start to finish since the one against NJ
48 minutes of intensity
in a word?
:KhCHCVLGVLLFV~!!!!!

Brewer has played like complete shit since sunday
This is the 10th play I’ve seen in 3 games where he doesnt hustle. The guy cannot play 40 minutes a night. He is not cut out for it.
Also, we need to get Boozer out of there. This is a joke
Under construction.
Get Boozer outta there!!!!!
WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He traveled
THREE TIMES THIS GAME
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
the bulls should be ashamed
this is honestly the worst i’ve ever seen them look in the thibs era
Under construction.
The Sixers are legit, though
Give them credit.
Derrick's free throwing is a problem.
Make a damn shot kid!!!!!!
Yeah
He’s a dickweed, Worse than Monta
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
Korver's D still sucks
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
Yet another fast break dunk
...and Stacey King is HILARIOUS. He's so funny, that I completely overlook the fact that he's gained 300lbs since his playing days.
Derrick got swiped
And Thibs said, Let there be three's, and Deng shot threes
And Deng saw the three's, that they were good
And didn't shoot long two's anymore

HE didn't get fouled, at all.
Just dicked around with the ball and spun into a waiting defender.

Bulls playing like a bunch of bitches
can’t even get a shot
not showing for rebound on either side
shameful
Yeah, the rebounding has been gross
Injuries. Fuck.
by Juiceboxjerry on Feb 1, 2012 7:28 PM CST up reply actions
Meh, I knew this game would be tough
Again, they played us better than ANY team last year. Just a terrible matchup
Injuries. Fuck.
Yeah, Rose has good numbers,
but he’s gotta have more than 13 FGA right now. He’s taken 5 shots since the first quarter and thats inexcusable. He needs to at least try and take over.
What's bad is the PHI is only shooting 46%
If the bulls decide to REBOUND, this game becomes winnable
...and Stacey King is HILARIOUS. He's so funny, that I completely overlook the fact that he's gained 300lbs since his playing days.
c'mon God- make it happen

We havent done anything right in the last two minutes
The sixers are legit but we shouldnt be doing this badly
48 minutes of intensity
With 2 starters out its tough to sit Booz/Noah like he diid in many wins
Those 2 are playing like overpaid punks

BENCH HIS FAT ASS ALREADY!
BOOZER IS A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've come to expect Greatness from D.Rose.
But his supporting cast really is sucking it up so bad that he can’t even afford to have a bad game now.

Stop passing and start shooting.
Derrick isn’t doing enough right now, plain and simple.
I think is one game where it would be really hard
to pin the problem on Rose. He’s penetrating very well and creating shots for everyone else, but they’re just not hitting them.
He cant shoot on double teams and expect to suceed
Sounds good in theory but until somebody actually produces its gonna be tough for us
48 minutes of intensity
Dwight Howard wouldn't have allowed that.

by UnBannedVikingholic on Feb 1, 2012 7:35 PM CST reply actions
And why is that?
Think about it… a little bit
Two games against quick athletic teams so close together (Miami and Philly tonight) really exposes the fact that the Bulls have no athletes outside of Rose.
They collectively play like everyone is 5 years older than they really are.
agree
I noticed that last year, quickness is our weakness, thats why we struggled against the heat in the playoffs with their quick starting line-up, we struggle against the sixers and warriors. we struggled against the knicks as well when they had that small line-up with amare at center before carmelo got there.
Offensive rebound sighting
...and Stacey King is HILARIOUS. He's so funny, that I completely overlook the fact that he's gained 300lbs since his playing days.
Not a travel there
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
I wake up and see the Bulls start shitting on the floor.
What the hell is this shit.
Put in Jimmy, Lucas, Scal, all the baddies for the rest of the game.
Time to go straight Popovich in this motherfucker.
Philly playing a perfect game
Like we used to
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
Trade for Dwight
play Omer at the 4.. someone comes in the lane, they get their face broken. No more of this soft garbage.

I think Rose has 1 point this quarter.
That’s the game right there.
Because Philly didn't change how they played/trapped him at all.
I’m sure that has nothing to do with anything.
There's absolutely no excuse for him to have one point in a quarter.
by Stacey_Is_King on Feb 1, 2012 7:41 PM CST up reply actions
Ok...
I’m not excusing him, just providing some context. The point made by dakoose was that Rose’s 1 point in the quarter is “the game right there.” The score says the Bulls are down 20 points.
Unless we expect Rose to drop 20 in the 3rd while being double and triple teamed, I don’t think his 1 point is the difference in the game.
His point was Rose being unable to score
encapsulates the game for us. Not that he expects Rose to single-handedly bring us back.
by Stacey_Is_King on Feb 1, 2012 7:50 PM CST up reply actions
Doesn't matter.
A guy that wants to be the best player in the world can’t allow himself to get shut down so easily.
enough of putting the bulls in the same class as miami and okc
right now they are barely up there in the 2nd tier of the east. the honeymoon is over
Under construction.
This is our reality guys.. we are a one man team
This roster lacks overall talent.
You again....

except for our injured guys
Rose decides not to go 1-on-2 and I was thinking, "what are you doing?! You've got the numbers!" -Zach Harper, Daily Dime Live
This is disgusting
No excuses…not even without Luol and Rip
Derrick+Joakim+Booz > Ray-Ray, The Wheelchair guy, that stupid martian and the punk who only messes with 6 foot foreign point guards and 3 point shooting centers
Can't stand listening to the Sixers announcers,
but that’s only cause they’re making everything, and we’re not.
If they have scoring problems against the Knicks tomorrow
then they seriously need to reevaluate their offense (ie – stop giving the ball to Boozer when he isn’t hitting his rainbows)
they need to stop the pick and roll completely
all it does is trap rose, every single time
Under construction.
This is true
It’s sad that I’ve missed Vinny’s ISO’s at points this season. That’s scary. But it’s really only because everyone else isn’t doing their jobs.

That played defined the game
Open 3 missed by our best shooter, offensive rebound being battled by 2 of OUR players, only to give the D enought time to recover and block the shot and, of course, recovering the posession.
UNBELIVEABLE.
Derrick+Joakim+Booz > Ray-Ray, The Wheelchair guy, that stupid martian and the punk who only messes with 6 foot foreign point guards and 3 point shooting centers
They just have so man guys that fly around defensively
You have to be able to pass the ball, and go to the basket because they have no shot blockers. If you just move the ball around the perimeter, you’re playing into their hands
Injuries. Fuck.

you just have to accept the fact that a.) year 2 and b.) compressed 66 game schedule, this so called hard working, never die, never quit team is just going to mail it in some nights this year, something we would have never thought possible last year.

at least now gar almost has to pull the trigger on something before the deadline
I kinda feel there is a trend in all our losses
all we need to be defeated is a bigger pressure on defense and we are stuck like deers in the headlights
Well maybe we needed this
Almost seems like they got too “up” barely beating Miami under-manned. Bring us down to earth and force us to grind it again
Cant wait for this from DRose:

Soriano: While Rip Hamilton and Ronnie Brewer give the Bulls a serviceable shooting guard rotation, getting them a more versatile player to fill that spot would give them that extra boost in getting to the Finals. Meanwhile, O.J. Mayo is on the trade block and could give the Bulls that secondary shot creator and scorer who can complement Rose and a healthy Luol Deng. Here’s the trade.
Wallace: When you’re in first place in your conference, it’s hard to accept that you need anything to put you over the top. But if those painful losses to the Heat show the Bulls anything, it’s that they need another reliable scorer to complement Rose. Why not call Houston and check on Kevin Martin’s availability? If I’m the Bulls, I’d pitch Boozer but realize it might cost Joakim Noah. Chicago just won’t beat the Heat in a seven-game series as is.

It is very simple
Any team with athletes is going to be very difficult for us to beat. We have one..count it ONE.. player on this team who can create his own shot.
Deng as good as he is, is not a star player- he is a great third option currently trying to play the role of a second option.
We need to take this rare chance to acquire another superstar and trade the FARM for Dwight Howard. Everything else is a losing formula.
lol @ deng is not a star
deng is an all star. however, i do agree bout getting howard, but not the whole farm. i would do deng and noah in a heartbeat.
I think Rip can create his own shot
to an extent…and even in chucker mode, so does CJ.
BTW, am I the only one that thinks we looked at least decent when CJ was at the 2?

Really not all that surprising of a result
Philly is a team that is being underrated because of their easy schedule, they saw an opportunity to prove how good they are against a top team at their home. They just were more motivated and had more energy tonight.
What I don't get is why weren't the Bulls motivated?
They just lost a few nights ago to the Miami Heat. Are they satisfied by a road win over the Wizards?
CJ Watson is a good player and all
but if hes finishing with more points than Rose, you know you’ve had a bad night. I suggest that people on this board relax.
48 minutes of intensity
This game was a reality check
For any of us (myself included) that were under the illusion that this team was the hardest working team in the NBA. We just got introduced to the team that arguably takes that title.
Anyway, what I posted in the game thread:
It seems pretty clear to me that the Bulls aren’t going to show the same “never say die, never quit” effort they showed all the time last year. The GS game was the first sign that this team was actually capable of mailing it in, the second ATL game was a disturbing follow up, and I know Deng is injured, but some of what I saw tonight I never ever thought I’d see from this team, ever.
If this team doesn’t hustle and put in effort, they don’t have enough raw talent to be an upper echelon team in the NBA. The Heat can mail it in and still win games. We don’t have that luxury.
Additional comments:
If this team has it in them to be lazy and not show effort like they did tonight, then it makes me think that there will come a point where they could potentially tune out Thibodeau. And quite frankly, that scares the **** out of me.
For the first time in almost a year I’m having buyer’s remorse on this team. And I think it goes beyond missing Deng. This is the 3rd or 4th time this season we have mailed it in to a good (or even bad) team.
The only excuse I can think of is that this is due to the shortened season. I pray that’s all it is, but if not…wow.
Under construction.
I agree.
Defense is slacking and what kind of offense are we running out there?
I guess its panic time
ahhh ohh nooo…….

I was sarcastic...
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
our rebounding has definitely not been good this entire year.
Noah was the only one trying to get offensive rebounds.
I agree with tuning Thibs out ………….he lacks any offensive scheme
When you are missing quality players it is up to the coach to have a game plan to bet better teams. Thibs does not have that ability.
wow, are you still shittin on thibs
get over it…you cant win with limited players like brewer and korver!
no im not
i know what a coach can do and not do for a team. Look what happened to the wizards…they had a good coach and yet they sucked balls? why? because he can only have enough impact on a team. Thibs can only do so much with brewer limited scoring abilities and a super one dimensional player like korver,
This is a great coach
But not a miracle worker, He’s not out there playing
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
exactly, if oyu wana start bashing thibs
might as well bash phil jackson after how they lsot to the mavs! And Greg Pops!
Geo my point is …...
Form the start of the game there seemed to be no plan on how to attack the 76’s………just let the defense turn into offense seemed to be the plan. You cannot go against Doug Collins with that sort of plan. At least to me the players did not buy into Thibs plan, that is just me ……….great coaches devise a scheme to beat other good or great coaches. And yes Thbs was out coach last year in the ECF.
you are again missing MY point
in order for the scheme to work, you need certain players that consist of certain skillset. The bulls at thid point DONT! If you dare tell me Brewer and Korver should be enough, then you are clearly delusional.
Great coaches can only do so much. What happened to jackson and pops team says NOTHING bad about their coaching. Why did the spurs lose and why did the lakers lose? simple…the scheme is not enough to beat teams if you have players who have a limit skill set. Bulls had mutliple injuries including rose and booz. We lacked a true SG and we got exposed. What can thibs do exactly to coutner that? NOTHING. You have nobody on the bench that can play score and play alongside Rose. Brewer and Bogans does not cut it…in roder for a coach to do great things with the team, he needs the right weapons to succeed. If you were to tell me Phil Jackson would have lead the lakers to multiple titles without pau gasol, you are delusional. Same goes for the mavs of last yr. They had the right set of players that had the appropriate skills where his schema would work. For example, Jason terry…if he waso ut for that series, heat would have swept the mavs asses.
Bottom lineL thibs is not a miracle worker. Every great coach needs not only good players, but the right players to help his schema. Thibs tonight just didnt have anyone to answer philly defense.
effort and hustle have nothing to do with game plan
watch the games. we never ever saw this lack of effort from a thibs coached team before, even undermanned. this is unprecedented.
Under construction.
I'm not worried about effort
I’m worried because this team is clearly limited
and this limit will be a problem if we want to beat Miami.
That said I say a healthy Bulls beat Philly like they did Indiana last season

There's something to be said about losing this badly
But, I think the Bulls clearly mailed it in, and in a shortened season, that’s not the worst thing in the world. The injuries are certainly part of it, but that’s not an excuse for this kind of showing. It was a lack of effort, plain and simple. But, the Bulls will make the playoffs, and need to get healthy, so I don’t have much of an issue with some defeats (no matter how humiliating). Even great teams lose big sometimes.
The bigger issue is that the Sixers are a scary team that could give the Bulls fits in the playoffs. Hopefully we’ll be healthy and ready to defend against Iguodala ripping us apart, but the Sixers are LEGIT and frightening. Good luck to whoever has to deal with that.

I see no reason why Brewer has to start anymore.
Of course, it’s even less likely that Butler will take his spot than it was for brewer to take Bogans’

by Stacey_Is_King on Feb 1, 2012 9:13 PM CST up reply actions
Yeah I find it unlikely too, but it's not the worst idea
use him much in the same way that he used Bogans. And if he sucks, you pull him like he pulled Bpgans. And guys like Ronnie and CJ can stay in the roes they’re comfortable in
Injuries. Fuck.

This is probably the best option
but we don’t need CJ to start against Milwaukee
by Stacey_Is_King on Feb 1, 2012 9:14 PM CST up reply actions
I really like trying this out.
I mean, why not? Obviously, Thibs would need to sub Rose/Cj wisely, since Lucas being the back up point is far from an acceptable option, but I think it’s worth a try.
hey, it's a home away from home heh

March 15th
…is the NBA trading deadline. Sure will be interesting to see what happens. I honestly think the Bulls really need to make some changes. As currently constructed I still feel we fall just short. We need a big splash.

not really a big splash but more like an addition of a guy who can score from the bench
i think this team needs a 6th man. Sure, we all want howard, but im being realistic…i think this team can def acquire a solid scorer by the trading deadline.
How do you guys feel about the dual point guard thing?
Like Denver runs. Once the ball is taken out of Derricks hands everything stops. No one else can really safely handle the ball. How about a real facilitator that isn’t crippled like Rip.

thing is billups is a combo guard

And look how that turned out.
JK. I didn’t get to watch the game. Buy after reading the posts it sounded like the whole team was lethargic. Just need someone else that can dribble and work with Derrick back and forth when he is doubled. I don’t know, the games where Rip was healthy and played well I thought he may have been enough. He was able to run the break along with Rose and also distribute to others. But I don’t see him staying in much of this year.

actually CJ was rollin well with rose
they make a good combo! CJ can score is given enough time and with rose, CJ can def put up like 12-14 ppg.
So if we end up playing Miami
in the ECF, and they put Lebron on Rose again, why is this year going to be any different?

depends on rip and deng
they are absolutely vital to the bulls success this yr. Rip can play but again, we need him healthy and thanksfully the bulls will rest him till the all star break. If we can get rose, rip, and deng combo set, I dont think lebron can afford to guard rose.
Lebron on Rose, Wade chasing Rip and Battier on Lu, no?

by MartyMondays on Feb 1, 2012 10:38 PM CST up reply actions
really? never heard bout that...
if thats true, damn, that would be a steal. Beasley can score and cna def help rose in crunch time. The prob is having gibson and booz at pf. Out frontcourt would be overcrowded and we would most likely have to give up gibson in order to make room for beasley.
yeah they were trying to avoid problems with their own front court overcrowding
I don’t hate Booze but it sucks that he kills our flexibility so much. I’d much rather have Beasley play the 4 and have cap space then being locked with Booze for 3 more years.

Only thing that sucks about this loss is that this is the third time we've lost to them in a row

at this point, i cant read what GarPAx want to do as of right now.
One time, reggie evans inbounded to Billups with about 7 seconds left.....
You know how they roll the ball to conserve time, well, evans just dropped the ball it rolled about 12 inches, and i swear, Billups looked at him and said, “what the fuck, dude”
I would take 45 PF ahead of booze
Amir johnson, maxeil, Ivan Johnson, troy murphy, Scal
Had to wait until the KU game was over to post my thoughts.
I’ll still continue to harp that I don;t want D12 and that Boozer is good. Honestly, this game changes nothing. They played like crap, sure, but they were also on the road against a very good team, with arguably their second and third best offensive players. Besides, the Heat just lost to a shit team at full health. Everyone needs to calm down.
