Bulls at Cavaliers: Dion Waiters not playing Wednesday

Stay connected for news and updates

now imagine this, but in suits... - Eric P. Mull-US PRESSWIRE

Bulls are on a back-to-back tonight in Cleveland, but caught another bit of a schedule break:

Rookie shooting guard Dion Waiters is still nursing his sprained left ankle and will not play for the Cavaliers in tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls at The Q. It will be the second game he has missed since suffering the injury on Saturday against Portland.

Daniel Gibson will start for Waiters, as Scott goes back to more of a traditional lineup. Alonzo Gee, who started at shooting guard in Monday's loss at Detroit, will return to small forward, while Omri Casspi, who started at small forward on Tuesday returns to the bench.

The Cavs are still without starting point guard Kyrie Irving, still out two more weeks with a fractured left index finger.

The Cavs were already really wretched on the bench even when the Bulls destroyed them with Irving and Waiters playing.

But as our friends The Bulls Show posited, this is still a pretty-bad evenly-matched battle between backup backcourts.

Who you got??
