Hey, nobody signed up for a game preview for this one. There are still a lot of games left this month if you're interested. And if you're interested in attending the game tonight, use our partners if you want Chicago Bulls Tickets.
The Bulls have had a couple days of rest, though some of the more heroic victories lately have come with their backs against the wall. I guess that's why they're appropriately lauded.
Who's appropriately derided is Kirk Hinrich, who participated in some of shootaround and is, wait for it: "a game-time decision". Hinrich's battling his latest bout of limb-falling-off-disease.
The Nets have a major injury of their own (hey, Hinrich is pretty major if you're facing Deron Williams) with Brook Lopez. Lopez returned from a 7-game absence last night and played 24 minutes. The word yesterday was that they were going to pick one game of the weekend for Lopez to play, but then after Friday's game Avery Johnson isn't ruling out going back on that. So coy, these coaches.
In that game last night, the Nets went into double-overtime before the a Joe Johnson buzzer-beater finished off the Pistons. So now the Nets face what the Bulls did earlier this week in Philly, a really late arrival and thus reason to believe an early Bulls spurt could have them rolling over. I'm sure Neil Funk will call such a thing in the 2nd quarter when the Bulls are up 5 (or down 3). We know the Bulls have proven to be resilient facing such odds, we'll see if the Nets can.
This is also another installment in the bench mob reunion tour, as CJ Watson returns with the Nets. And I suppose Keith Bogans as well. A cursory look at this season sees CJ has been fairly consistent to what he put up last year. When the offseason began it seemed like keeping Watson on an affordable 1-year deal was a pretty easy decision, but then we neglected to figure the Org.'s Kirk Hinrich-ing of this Kirk Hinrich that Hinrich'd.
