Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich will have an MRI on his banged up left knee Thursday, per Bulls.com's Sam Smith (complete with terrible joke!!):

Oh, and Hinrich. Yes, a tweak again. Hinrich seemed OK after Tuesday's game, except for the beating the Bulls were taking. And then his knee swelled on the way to Philadelphia, which I think also happened to British General Howe in 1776. Anyway, Hinrich's issue took him out of Wednesday's game. He was to have an MRI Thursday when the team returned.

This is the fifth different injury for Hinrich this season (thumb, groin, hip, elbow, knee) and in seemingly typical fashion, nobody has any idea how it happened. Hinrich seemed fine against the Clippers and was playing at the end of the game, but then all of a sudden, he's a late scratch against the Sixers.

Tom Thibodeau said Hinrich tested the knee out pregame, but that he didn't feel comfortable playing. Perhaps we would know more about the injury if Kirk was actually a professional and talked to the media, but that's not the case:

Like a true veteran, Hinrich sat in the trainer's room for the entire pregame media access, then walked out as reporters were exiting.

This injury is likely not serious, but at some point it feels like all these little injuries will add up to one big one. Who knows. I guess the good news is that we actually got to see Marquis Teague play well in Hinrich's absence.
