I wanted start by sending an open thank you note to Luol Deng. I talked about trading you, and you came back by playing pretty awesome, particularly against the Thunder, and shooting a lot better this past week or so.

All of this said, I am starting this thread to identify a possible opportunity, and see if there are any answers. I don't REALLY mind where we are right now, we have a decent team with our franchise star out, not bad. However, there is a big guy on the NBA trade block (rumored) and it is worth discussing.

Pau Gasol. Clearly does not fit alongside Dwight in the spread P&R and has been supposedly on the block for a while now for the right guys. I am not saying I want the Bulls to get Pau, that really doesn't do a ton for us, but think that a multi team trade could be serviceable.

Think of it this way

Bulls give up: Boozer to Lakers (fingers crossed) and maybe one more asset (player or pick, open discussion, possibly Lu to Lakers)

Lakers give up: Pau, maybe another player (Metta or something)

Mystery 3rd team w/ cap space: Gives up young assets to Bulls and takes Pau

Again, I know this is probably not feasible, but let's discuss for the sake of discussion.
