Hey gang. There are seven days to go until the regular season begins so let the 1st Annual BlogaBull Regular Season Prediction Contest begin!

1. How to Play:

Select the top 8 teams from each conference and predict their records. The format of your post should match my own for easy scoring.

2. Scoring:

Scores will be allocated as follows: For each team in your top 8, you will receive 4 points if your prediction is dead on, 2 point if you are off by 1, 1 point if you are off by 2, -1 points if you are off by 3-5 and -5 points if you are off by more than 5 slots . You will receive -10 points if a team you select for the top 8 is in the bottom 3 (I believe that Sin had the Bobcats making the playoffs last year, hah!).

You will receive 1 bonus point for each record that you guess successfully and 3 points if this team happens to be the Bulls.

You will receive a bonus 3 points if all 8 of the teams that you select are in the top-8.

Okay gang, that's the competition. May the best blogger win. For the record, I tried this last year with a playoff prediction contest, but then something really terrible happened and I could not return to this site for several months. Sorry about that. It will not happen again (unless something equally terrible happens). As always, feel free to discuss/ridicule predictions as this is not meant to be an infertile thread with team names and numbers but a discussion of all things basketball related.
