i knew it
i knew that foot injury was serious. Hes going to have a hard time driving to the hoop this season with that injury. Good news for the bulls and I hope the bulls can stay healthy (kncok on wood).
woohoo
it’s definitely a case for standing pat this season simply figuring that one of the Heatles could go down in this wacky schedule.
They have fewer options than the Bulls when Taj and Noah have their upcoming foot injuries.

remember when joakim had plantar fascitis
hopefully (knock on wood) the bulls players can avoid that injury. Its pretty serious and can really knock out a player for majority of the season.
Is it ridiculous to think that they might be even better without Wade?
There is only one ball, after all
Sadly, my self worth is almost entirely based upon the outcome of the previous night's Bulls game.

well, its going to effect LeBron and Bosh alot
They will be expected to have fewer off nights and I expect few more losses since Wade is prob out for the month. So far their schedule was so fuckin cake, but its going to get tougher for them (look at this week all the way till feb).
My thoughts...
LeBron is just so good with the ball in his hands. It’s doubtful that they will be BETTER, but maybe not quite as much worse.
THEO!

If that's the case
He could’ve just brought Bosh over to the Cavs.
And Thibs said, Let there be three's, and Deng shot threes
And Deng saw the three's, that they were good
And didn't shoot long two's anymore

Yes it is
I predict Lebron will play better, but that doesn’t mean the team will be better.

i think its possible they'll be better in the regular season. not in the playoffs though, when
they will need big wade games to win.

until you realize that we only have one super star
and if he goes down we are beyond fucked.
heat still have lebron james and chris bosh
Should've traded for Melo.
But we have a bunch of good players
They have no one else.
What’s wrong with u? You think even a team of two superstars is better now? You love superstars
You should just watch American Idol instead of Bulls games

i think a team with lebron james
is better than our team without derrick rose
Should've traded for Melo.
the fuck are you even talking about
like, if we’re playing the Heat in the playoffs and both Rose and Wade go down? OK, that’s likely. And totally the FO’s fault for building around their superstar. The Knicks gutted their team to get a second star in your boy Melo and they fucking blow. You’re stupid and whiny.

But Lookout!
The Knicks can still win the title!!! (In their dreams)

Bosh ain't a superstar (he's an all star, but no superstar)
Lebron though is the ULTIMATE superstar…
The kid's out of this world. He's got Allen Iverson speed, Jason Kidd's vision, Chauncey Billups' shooting ability and Michael Jordan's athleticism. How do you guard that? - Pacers coach Frank Vogel.
That is nothing like what you wrote

Based one what this quote is truly about . . . you have to think to yourself, “What am I really commenting on?”
Is this Bulls team better than Miami with a hobbled Wade? THAT’S ALL YOU HAVE TO THINK TO YOURSELF!
I for one think they’re evenly matched with Wade. Add his hobbled status into equation and the Bulls leapfrog them IMHO
This quote says nothing about, “Who’s better without their team’s best superstar?”

Nope, nope. You're wrong.
They lost one playoff series against Miami. Therefore the Bulls are irrevocably inferior to all things Heat. Any team with LeBron is unstoppable. I mean, sure he has no rings but it’s only a matter of time! I’m serious!

Foot injuries linger
Let’s see how he’s doing heading into the playoffs.
"What do you think, I just dunked my whole career?" Jordan asked Henderson after making a 3.
"You’ve got to miss eventually," Henderson told him.
"That’s what Cleveland said," replied Jordan

Sprinters are taught to sprint this way as well
the foot has contact with the ground for a shorter period of time, thus running faster. I’ve actually tried running like this but it’s really awkward if it’s not natural. But I definitely felt like I was running faster.
Regarding the Bulls players, it wouldn’t surprise me if we saw that Joakim slams his foot into the court when he runs. I wonder how Rose runs…
Either way, if correct, healthy running can be taught, it would behoove any organization that invests millions of dollars into these guys to teach them how.

Case in point
Watch this short clip of Usain Bolt. His heels never touch the ground once. Michael Johnson ran the same way. Very impressive.

Sprinting and playing basketball are different though
Sure in a straight line you should run without putting your heels on the ground, but if you are trying to make quick cuts, the extra contact area has to help.
true
I didn’t really take that into account for some reason. Still though, i think if someone like Joakim could at least learn to get used to running down court the right way that would be helpful. But no, when he’s switching on D, shuffling laterally or banging down low, I wouldn’t expect that technique to work so well either.

as a martial artist, i don't necessarily agree with this
in muay thai we are constantly told to stay on the balls of our feet because it helps you be able to change directions faster than if you’re flatfooted. it’s not exactly the same as making cuts and stuff, but change of direction is very important in a fight, obviously.

well, obviously the manner that a fighter moves is different from a basketball player
there are certain things that could apply, and i’m not saying that it always makes the most sense to do that… just was giving one example on where staying on the balls of your feet while not running in a straight line is recommended. obviously fighters don’t run nearly as much, but they do move laterally a lot.

just this summer
while playing ball (just 2 on 2 half court) i injured my foot real weird, and i couldnt walk by putting my foot all the way down, but i found i was able to move around by keeping the injured foot in a toes-pointed-up position. So essentially i had one good working foot, and the other foot i only used my heel. I was nowhere near as quick obviously, especially going in a straight direction, but i was able to turn a lot quicker which is essentially change directions.
So while i dont think a guys like rose, wade, or any perimeter player could use the the heel method of movement, i think a big man like boozer would. In fact, post moves i would imagine could be made a lot more fluid if you performed pivots on your heel instead of your toe…..safer as well im sure
I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!
So you're a martial artists and a Bulls fan.
You’re kinda cool, Jaina.

i never understood people running on their heels.
i mean, your sprinting, right? i get it if your tryna jog.
That shit crayy
Wouldn't it be a shame if Eddy Curry stood on his foot...
If I got Derrick Rose in a room alone what I would do is not acceptable by law. But it would result in our kids.
