If Deng plays Sunday, KC Johnson had it first

This is important:

Tuesday:

Deng even is telling teammates he hasn't ruled out playing in Sunday's game against the Heat, though that seems unlikely after coach Tom Thibodeau conceded Deng is "going to be out awhile."

Wednesday (emphasis mine):

As reported yesterday, Deng's plan is to play Sunday in Miami. Don't know if it comes to fruition, but that's his plan.

After Wednesday night's game:

Luol Deng continues to tell teammates he plans to return from the torn ligament in his left wrist for Sunday's game against the Heat in Miami.

Thursday:

With Luol Deng aiming to return Sunday in Miami with a torn ligament in his left wrist, the question moves to whether the organization will let him.

Friday morning:

Deng is shooting, dribbling, still on track to play Sunday vs. Heat. No guarantee but that's been his target all along.

You got that?

So with Woj basically regurgitating KC's report on Wednesday afternoon with an added and useless 'source says he will play'...he is gonna get the credit? Hell no.

Big wag of the fingers abound for those allowing it to be in the bloodstream: Commenter JustAnotherFan incorrectly saying it was Woj first on Twitter. And SBNation's very own Ricky O'Donnell for citing Woj with first, even adding 'if Woj says it, it must be true'.

Oh please, that was only the case when the Bulls GM and coach got into a physical altercation and KC sat on the story for personal reasons! I don't care if Woj calls himself 'newsbreaker' on his twitter bio: for this, KC HAS IT, AND HAD IT FIRST, AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT.

(I don't really have a point here)

Thibs says Deng is ‘highly unlikely’ for tonight but is doing more things on the floor. Still hopeful he can come back soon.

i say we cyrogenically freeze all our starters, and play the bench mob the rest of the season

we will fight and claw our way to the 8th seed, then in the playoffs our first round opponents will be the heat, we unfreeze our starters, and take out the heat in round 1 of the playoffs. The remainder of our playoff run should then be easy-peasy
