Who the hell is Fabricio Oberto?

That article has no details on the contract. I’d assume it’d be 10 days?

You never heard of Oberto?

He used to get run in San Antonio. I remember him being pretty serviceable, too. Nothing great, but he’s not a bum, either.

Yeah just looked up his numbers

played 82 games with the spurs in 07-08. Should be able to pull down more rebounds than Scal, which I guess is all that’s important.

yap

plays D, hustles..basically a decent player, not a bum

by Belize on Jan 23, 2012 4:20 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah he was pretty good for them.

Only problem is he’s 36 now.

Pat Riley is the devil.

Yeah, we'll see if he can still move around.

Noah’s injury isn’t serious and we still have Omer and Booz, so Oberto shouldn’t have to log major minutes.

didn't this guy have a heart condition that forced him to retire?

or am i thinking of someone else?

Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

This reminds me of that time we "signed" Carlos Arroyo

I’ll be waiting for the KC bucket of cold water (although I’m not even sure you can call it that in this instance)

Sadly, my self worth is almost entirely based upon the outcome of the previous night's Bulls game.

I won't believe until it happens

They hype players in Argentina all the time. I won’t mind Fab, but I’ll prefer Leon Powe.

Derrick+Joakim+Booz > Ray-Ray, The Wheelchair guy, that stupid martian and the punk who only messes with 6 foot foreign point guards and 3 point shooting centers

Leon Powe was a nice up and coming player a few years ago

But he’s been chronically injured ever since his days in high school. We’re talking about a guy who had reconstructive knee surgery in high school, reconstructive knee surgery in college, then injured his right knee in Boston, tore his left ACL and meniscus later when he was there and hasn’t been the same player since his brief flashes of potential.

Oberto was a pretty decent player for the Spurs, would love to see him add some bench depth.

very appropriate that Kurt Thomas is looking skeptical in the background

also, oberto is the weirdest looking motherfucker in the universe. not named bosh or rondo of course

I guess if this is happening the FO thinks so

sam says the same
And contrary to some rumors floating around the internet Tuesday, the Bulls don’t have a deal with Oberto. Or, at this point, anyone else to add to the roster. It appears at this point the Bulls do not have any moves planned.
