Olympic roster

Alright, just read an article on ESPN on who's locks and who's not for the Olympic Roster. If I had to choose a starting 5 right now it would be these 5

PG- Derrick Rose, people like to say Paul is a more true point guard which is fine but there is no denying that rose has taken the reigns of top dog in the pg class regardless of the past week. Paul would be next off the bench and would get more second half time when they go up 10 points or more.

SG- Kobe (but only if its a Kobe who is at 95% or more) Hes Kobe plain and simple, black mamba, killer, only person who compares to number 23. Tough to sit wade here because he is the more well rounded player, but like Rose with Paul once they get up in the second half give Wade the go and sit Kobe

SF- Lebron, best talent in the world and needs to be on the court. When the 4th quarter comes around he can disappear on the offensive side of the ball and no one will complain. Durant would be nice here given that he is a better shooter from 3 but Lebron is just too good.

PF- Probably the toughest position to choose because you can do so much here, could see some Lebron playing some 4 when they wanna get out and run, but to start i think K Love is your best option. All the 4's here can rebound but his shot is what sets him apart from the field.

C- Dwight Howard. No discussion needed here. Tyson backing him up.

So this is just my opinion on who I think would make the best starting 5, and can EASILY by changed based on match ups.

I read the ESPN article (you should link it)

I think they are crazy to call D-Will a lock and leave Westbrook out of it.

So what you're saying is...

1 – Rose, Paul
2 – Kobe, Wade
3 – LeBitch, Durant
4 – Love, ???
5 – Dwight, Tyson

I can’t remember who gets left out. I know that Lu will play for GB, and if JoNo plays it’ll be for France. Who else is getting left off this roster?

Blake Griffin?

Westbrook and Melo or Amare for the 11th and 12th spots?

Blake should be the PF2 on that team.

I’d rather have more bigs than more smalls. I’d say the 11th player should be a 4/5 hybrid type, and the 12th should be a 2/3 hybrid type. Between Rose and Paul, our 1 situation is pretty darn good.

i would love to see

rose/durant/lebron/melo/dwight

on the court at once

By popular demand I am putting a moratorium on the Melo talk until the Knicks win the title in June.
