Damn, I hate this woman announcer.

She always announces the 11 am college football games on ESPN and I have to find something else to watch or put it on mute.

On the road.. in a weird matinee game, not surprised we don’t look great out of the gate here. They can’t keep shooting at this high a percentage, would be surprised if we don’t get back into it rather quickly.

Yeah,

Booze made Poindexter hit a long 2, Gay hit a contested shot over Deng, Conley hit a prayer 3 pointer, those turnovers that led to layups, Speights multiple contested shots over Noah, and every other shot they hit.

Noah

Boozer will at least be useful because he has offensive skill. Noah is heading into scary territory

lets just hope

that this is just weird year for him kinda like Luol after the Kobe rumors…

However, I am waiting until after the trade deadline to buy my wife a Noah jersey just in case

Kwame Fucking Brown just got 7 million. Noah’s still an athletic 7 footer. He may not be as good as we want him to be, but you won’t have to amnesty the guy. Do you really think there’s no market for him, even as bad as he’s been?

by MartyMondays on Jan 16, 2012 1:08 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Meh, just one of those days, they happen.

Note, even if Rose was playing, they’d probably still be down big. Rose won’t improve the poor rotation on defense or the missing of easy shots. Noah’s been shooting horribly all season after all.

Try to make a run in the 2nd half, but otherwise just accept the loss and get some rest and prevent anyone from getting injured. Let Butler get some experience.

I disagree.

You get Rose in there sparking the offense and the D will get inspired. But it matters not. Rose isn’t coming in.

We have the best record, but some of those wins have been super tight and mostly without our two most expensive big men on the floor at the end. It will catch up to us unless they (mostly Noah) improve.

I say if things don’t pick up in the third…Thibs should pull everyone and just have the team ready for tomorrow night. Settling for a split on some back to back is going to be necessary.

I'm with you here.

However, turf toe(if it really is that and who the fuck knows at this point) doesn’t heal with two days’ rest. Yeah he could use it sure, I’m just saying if you are waiting for him to feel only slight pain in his toe or not risk him injuring it further, there’s no way to do that without sitting him for weeks. I sure do agree Thibs needs to restrict his minutes. Less Rose is surely better than no Rose at all.

"Fast Don't Lie"

by Sandberg's evil twin on Jan 16, 2012 1:21 PM CST up reply actions

Well, he could've sat against Toronto, today against Memphis, and tomorrow against Phoenix

That would’ve given him more than a week of with Cleveland on Friday. If that’s not enough time, give him more rest. He’s the franchise, yet they’re handling this totally irresponsibly

Sadly, my self worth is almost entirely based upon the outcome of the previous night's Bulls game.

Still trying to figure out what you're blaming Boozer for

He’s 5-9 for 13 points in a half of basketball. You expect more than 26 points a game out of him?

by runningman on Jan 16, 2012 1:19 PM CST up reply actions

Yes because in basketball

all that matters is scoring.

the Grizzlies are hitting contested jumpers?

by runningman on Jan 16, 2012 1:22 PM CST up reply actions

Yea because all their made shots have been jumpers.....

You're the one that seems to think he deserves NO blame.

I see lack of rotations, hustle etc. You see he’s scored 13 points on fade-away jumpers. Good for him.

by chicity773 on Jan 16, 2012 1:26 PM CST up reply actions

And jumpers dont count as real points

What i actually hear you saying is you can’t point to anything specific he’s done and just want to blame him regardless of what’s going on in the game.

Lack of hustle, right. I didn’t see him steal the ball and score on a 1 man fast break.

But he’s keeping us in it(if you wanna call it that). Noahs makin Speights look like Hakim The Dream out there.

THIS

I’d rather see Butler out there than Brewer. I like Ronnie, but a lot of these guys are more complimentary to Rose, as opposed to being really good themselves. I’d like to see if Butler can do well

How could Noah have been in the league this long

and still made NO STRIDES offensively. He’s a legit 7-footer. Not a jump hook, an up-and-under, NOTHING!!! He can’t even get a shot off! Plus, his footwork looks as bad as it did when he was drafted. He might always be just an athletic 7-footer who can run.

by pnapa99 on Jan 16, 2012 1:24 PM CST reply actions

Memphis is doing a great job of clogging the paint

and double/triple teaming when the ball is in the paint. They can do this because, well, the Bulls aren’t really known for outside shooting, and they certainly aren’t moving the ball well, either.

by bryield on Jan 16, 2012 1:25 PM CST reply actions

and then turn it over on the other side.
