Brandon Jennings our PG? Beasley our 4?

Sup fellas....i've been reading up on everything lately about the bulls and 2 things stand out to me the most. Moving Rose to the 2 and getting rid of Boozer.

Rose to the 2....i think is a good move for us 'cause in all honesty Rose is a great player...but not really a great point guard...he has too many turn overs at times and i believe he would be much better if u can run his own game out there instead of worrying about setting people up and forcing passes that result in a turn over. Bucks said they are listening to offers for Jennings...so why not try to get him? he his a better point guard then Watson and is cheap. Watson can be our back up and Jennings also plays defense. so why not? you all already know that we must build our squad to beat the heat...were gonna be the top 2 teams in the east for the next few years. so we have to make these changes now. rose i believe can guard wade...wade is falling off to me lately..he looks old even tho every once in a while he does something crazy good. let me know what yall think.

Jennings/Watson

Rose/Brewer

Deng/???

Boozer/Taj

Noah/Asik

another thing i was also thinking about was what if we traded Boozer for Beasley and some other Timberwolves. Idk about ya'll but I like Beasleys game...he can even put down the 3. he's also far more athletic than Booz so we dont have to worry about chris bosh blocking every dunk attempt like he did to Booz. The fool looks strong, but he's weak as hell or scared...i haven't figured it out yet.

Jennings/???/Watson

Rose/Brewer

Deng/???

Beasley/Taj

Noah/Asik

Hmm, interesting notion, but there are two problems here...

1. Beasley is a tweener who can’t play D and is not a Power Forward.

2. T.J. Jennings is fuckin’ terrible.

That’s right, he’s so bad that even I cursed.

t.j. jennings?

i said brandon jennings.
beasley can play both forward spots.

by ransom122 on Jun 4, 2011 7:38 PM CDT reply actions

T.J. Jennings is my nickname for him.

Basically, he’s another version of T.J. Ford.

And again, Beasley cannot in any way, shape or form play the 4. Just no.

okay scratch beasley

but is jennings really that bad? i mean i understand this season he didnt do as well as last season but id certainly take him over watson. and moving rose to the 2 seems good for us.

Hey ransom

How did the Marbury/Francis backcourt work out for the Knicks? Granted Rose is MUCH better than either one of those two bums but still this was a dumb idea.

Considering the fact that Rondo, D-Will, Westbrook, and Nash all average just as many if not more turnovers a game as Rose and Rose still having growing to do, I’m fine with him playing the point. Plus,

.but not really a great point guard

Could have fooled me with the way he lead this team. Remember, he was in the top 10 in assists this year too and probably would have been higher if we had a more potent offensive team.

Plus, Jennings and Rose as a back court? You realize that Jennings is 170 lbs soaking wet right? Talk about an undersized back court…..

And finally…..Michael Beasley? Really? The guy might be the biggest headcase in the NBA. At least with JR, I understand why he’s a headcase. Michael is just a waste. There is a reason other than to get Chris Bosh why the Heat didn’t hesitate to get rid of him. Especially for second round picks.

i meant..

he is a great player and during the regular season he was a great point guard and when i said not really a great point guard i was talkin’ about the playoffs…he had a lot of stupid turn overs at the end of games that made me shake my head. i know all this might go away if we get a legit shooter/creator. but i think life would be easier for rose to play the two. he doesn’t have to worry about making the play just finishing it and i think that would be best for him because he can do that regardless playing the 1 or 2.

and scratch beasley…i guess anything sounds better than boozer to me right now.

and...

are you against moving him to the 2? or against b jennings? would u rather another pg?

rose is a point guard period...

he not have the size, neither a reliable shot to be a sg. he cant guard great sgs all game and play a major role for us in offense. and he is at his best with the ball in his hands, with him at 2 we will need a spot up jumper pg. not a good idea. Much better have a spot up 2 guard who can guard SGs. Or Ben gordon to hit the 3 and create by himself

I doubt a Jennings/Rose backcourt could coexist.

Brandon Jennings sucks, I could post a lot of sabermetric stats to show he is an awful player but I’m on a cell phone.

by GSkush on Jun 4, 2011 9:06 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Jennings is overrated and he shoots way too much.

Rose would get mad Jennings doesn’t pass the ball, Thibodeau would bench him cuz he don’t play defense, stay away from Jennings Chicago.

You just added insult to injury

first you say rose is a bad point guard then you say lets move him to the 2 for brandon (smh) jennings.lol, I could see if you Cp3, but… I dont even know what say.

Rose playing off the ball more is an idea I can get behind

Rose consistently guarding 2s is not.

And Beasley’s fucking awful.

Pat Riley is the devil.

You need a shooting guard duhhhhhhhhhhh

Ugh

Rose was terrible with turnovers in the playoffs, but look at his regular season numbers. Of the guys (40 or so) with a 25% or higher usage, Rose has better TOV% than 12 of them. Among them LeBron and Deron Williams (a “great” PG). Guys who are focal points of defenses with high usages turn the ball over. Also, Rose does need to work more off the ball, but I’d like to see a player like Iggy come to the Bulls. Good defender, good passer, good creator, good rebounder, would be great with Rose on the break.

Granted, we have nothing that the 76ers want unless Brand keels over dead sometime between now and the start of the season, but still.

Wouldn't it be smarter to grab Anthony Randolph?

If we are gonna take a chance on anyone from Minny, I’d prefer him. He might actually develop a solid game in a few years. Jennings just doesnt make any sense, unless they play like Isiah and Dumars together

by ArchieHemmingway on Jun 6, 2011 2:34 PM CDT reply actions

Randolph is on the bench for a reason..he’s got a bad attitude..lazy as hell. Not a good character guy.

by tenkaistar on Jun 9, 2011 12:59 AM CDT up reply actions

Rose w/ a Jason Kidd clone would work for me.

Most of the modern, smaller, scoring PGs, no.

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
