Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

"According to a team source, the Knicks intend to make a run at reacquiring Thomas this summer, or whenever the expected NBA lockout ends."

Odds are the Bulls aren't going to match any decent offer to Kurt

Other Bulls players will be asked to step up and increase their minutes, which should help answer the question as to just what do the Bulls have in Omer Asik.

That would be nice

Don’t like seeing him go, but I would like more Asik out there

Who's that fifth servicable big?

This team should be built to sustain two big man injuries at the same time. Are the Bulls going to find a cheap big man in FA that can step in when Noah goes down?

I'm okay with a guy like DJ Mbenga or Nazr.

I don’t know how much they’ll ask for though.

Geez

OKC has Cole Aldrich and BJ Mullens at center too, with Perkins starting… I’m surprised they kept Nazr. I’d be happy getting one of the two young guys cheap.

Thanks for the update.

I had not seen anything about that yet.

He was great last year

but replaceable.

Check of the list of available free agent centers. After the CBA is announced, as always, I’d expect the Bulls to wait for the rush on the top centers, and then they take there pick of what’s left in the bargain bin.

Why do the Knicks even want him?

Kurt Thomas played 2 seasons under D’Antoni in Phoenix. Then the team traded 2 first round picks just to get rid of his contract.

If thats any indication of how he will do in that offense, I think this is a very dumb move by the Knicks.

by VaderMaul on Jun 29, 2011 8:08 PM CDT reply actions

Kerr made that move

and set forth a change of events which resulted in a new look Suns team that went to the WCF.

yeah, part of which was his own telling him to get under the tax.

I doubt if Kerr had no ownership influence he would’ve given up 2 first round picks to have someone else pay Kurt Thomas

I knew this would happen

It would be NY or Houston giving an obscene amount of money for KT…
