Sam Smith Analyzes the Draft
Some fun stuff here, filtered through Sam's usual bouts with crazy. Some of his more fun ideas for the Bulls? How about Grant Hill, Vince Carter, or Rip Hamilton on a minimum deal? Yeah, that's gonna work out. [/sarcasm]

id appreciate the sarcasm if grant hill wasn't an above average defender last year
guy’s still got game and i would definitely take him for even 1-2 mil/year if that’s what it would take to get him. the guy used to be the best player in the league!
i don’t really like the idea of VC. maybe id take a flyer on rip just because he knows how to win in the postseason and is at least better than bogans.

hill would be a great option as a 6th man and rip hamilton would be to a lesser degree
however, if it came down to Hill being our start SG (assuming the FO exhausted out all options), then I wouldnt mind it at all.
Grant Hill? Hellz yeah.
I wanted him last year to fill the 2 hole. He’s not a great ball-handler or anything, but there’s no smarter player in the league and he can defense 3 to 4 positions.
How does one practice consistency? Take lots of Benefiber?

yeah and he has still has 5 years left on him
he hasnt suffered any major knee injury and because of his other previous injuries, the man still has plenty of mileage left on him.
hill and carter would be cool
cheap, good for a 1-2 yr run and we dont break bank. not mad at all
Woooooooooooooot!!
rip would be cool too
basically, carter is a bit more athletic and rip is more of a spot up
Woooooooooooooot!!
uhhh...
The Suns have long been expected to buy out Vince Carter’s $18.3 million final season for $4 million. Which could give Carter the chance to answer the question of whether he ever really wanted to try to be a winner. Or just score points. The Bulls will be one of the teams likely interested in Carter if he is bought out
Oh god no
I dont care how much he kills us. just no
'Don't believe in you who believe in me and don't believe in me who believes in you, but believe in you who believe in yourself'
so were interested in VC but we were never truly interested in tmac?
i really hope this doesnt happen either

One interesting proposition, in my eyes: Alec Burks to Golden State
Monta Ellis in a trade for a big man. Curry and Burks would be a good pair together, I think.
Curry, Burks, Williams, Wright, Lee, Biedrins. I guess you’re supposed to include Udoh, but I’m still trying to figure out what it is that is supposed to make him a good NBA player. Better than say, Greg Monroe.
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
I've decided (I know you guys are glad)....
The Pistons should trade Ben Gordon to the Bulls for #30 pick, 2nd round pick, Korver, Bogans, Pargo and Lucas.
Then draft Alec Burks/Marson Brooks and Darius Morris/Nolan Smith.
Rose – Watson
Brewer – Gordon
Deng – Justin Harper/Jimmy Butler/Chandler Parsons
Boozer – Gibson
Noah – Asik – K. Thomas
Isn’t that a championship team? They can win next year. Then you can either keep your starting five (subbing Gordon for Brewer) and let Brewer, Watson, gibson and Asik come off the books, or try to dump Boozer (w/ 3 years left) and basically keep everyone else for at least one more year. Then after that, you’ll still have Watson and Brewer coming off the books.

technically boozer would have 3 years left but actually boozer would only be on the books for 2 more years
because the team could trade his expiring contract in the 5th year. soooo… he’s basically on a 4 year deal then here comes retirement! HE WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE TRADE VALUE!!!!!!

Sam Smith analyzes?
The words “Sam Smith” and “analyze” are contradictions in terms.
