It's no big secret that the Bulls are one elite player from going from possible championship contenders to probable championship contenders. Which would be a better pairing for Derrick's skill set: an elite big man, like a Dwight Howard, or an elite wing player? Both options would take pressure off of Derrick Rose, but in different ways. An elite wing who can create shots for himself (and others) takes some of the playmaking pressure off of Derrick, allows for better floor spacing if he can hit the 3, and generally gives the defense something else to worry about. An elite big allows us to get better shots on the low block as well as better 3 point shot opportunities when the defense tries to double to get the ball away from him.

I feel as if an elite wing player would be better for Derrick Rose because better floor spacing better complements his elite slashing ability, but what do you think?
