I hope y'all are right.

Because, and it hurts to say this, but they look determined. They look like they want to win.

I think it’s clear that Boston is all washed up, at least when it comes to big-time competition. The Bulls looked like they confirmed our biggest fears last night against the Hawks, that they can’t start out games well and they look worn down. If we don’t see a turnaround from the Bulls, there goes any chance of any eastern team beating the Heat because it doesn’t look like the Celtics will, and you know the Hawks won’t.

In the west, well, I’d buy the Thunder if they didn’t have Russell Westbrook shooting games away. So that leaves the Lakers. Sure, until beaten, they’re still the top dogs, I’ll give you that. But both times the Heat and Lakers played, Miami rose to the occasion and beat them.

Ugh! I’m sure I’ll feel a lot better if the Bulls eliminate the Hawks.

Yeah, the 2011 regular season, where we finished with the best record in the league and the #1 defense and the league MVP.

You want to negate all that because of a few close games with the Pacers and Miami beating up a team that we DEMOLISHED during one of the last games of the season where they were fighting for seeding?

(I'm assuming you mean pre-Decision lol)

They were LeBron and nobody. I know it sounds similar to us (great defense, best record in the league, MVP), but we actually have 3 other All-Star or borderline All-Star caliber players (Boozer, Noah, Deng). We are dependent on Rose a lot, but in a different way than the Cavs were dependent on James. James was their EVERYTHING. Scoring, assisting, ballhandling, etc. Rose is our primary ballhandler, but we have others who can step up if he’s having an off night.

Again, Rose is the centerpiece of our team, the engine, but LeBron WAS that team. There’s a difference.

Aren't we like undefeated against the elite teams since, like, December?

The thing about us is, we may not have that explosive offense or flashy alley oops and stuff, but we just WIN the games. Different people step up, or its the rebounding, or the D, etc. We find ways to win games.

This may sound a bit crazy but Memphis's recent run might benefit the Bulls in a HUGE way

Mayo’s impact on this Memphis team is low minimal. They maybe thinking, “fuck it, we don’t need him. Let’s just get as many picks as possible for him”

by Option27 on May 3, 2011 9:49 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Mayo has handle and hoops

he’s got a little bit more than Bogans.

They locked up Gay, ZBo, and will lock up Gasol (ZBo demanded it).

“Hey, if we can play this well without one of our best players (Gay) we don’t need Mayo lulz”

Bogans + Pargo + Lucas and all the picks they want GOGOGOGO

by Sir Buckets on May 3, 2011 10:17 PM CDT up reply actions

Do they even want picks ?

They’ve got plenty of players, and those late 1st rounders the Bulls have aren’t very valuable at all in this draft.

Shhhhh lol

They got their core in place (Gay, Zbo, Gasol), and they have some nice other pieces (Allen, Arthur, Battier, Conley) and their young SG prospect Xavier (damn, typing that all out made me realize how stacked they really are). So maybe they’ll want a few picks to draft projects or some Euros to stash for a while or something, seeing as how their roster is fairly complete.

Pacers will probably offer McRoberts and their pick again, so we'd have to beat that.

I’d give up Taj (and cry) or Asik (and cry) if push really came to shove.

Without reading through the thread

I didn’t watch the BOS-MIA game, but from the highlights it looked like Miami won and acted like a bunch of douchebags while do so. Is this a fair assessment?

All this stuff about Mayo being undersized or whatever is garbage.

Harden is 6’ 5" and him and Mayo are like the exact same height.

Best team wins in a best out of 7

If the Hawks take the series, then it really didn’t matter anyway.

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

by Dils on May 3, 2011 10:37 PM CDT reply actions

People freak out because we're down 0-1, but

if you look at it this way:

the Hawks have to win 3 before we win 4

or the Hawks have to beat us 3 more times

suddenly it’s not so bad
