Around SBN: Blake Griffin Slam Dunks: NBA Jam Style

Gordon - Bulls/Howard - Clippers/Noah, Gay - Orlando

Chicago Bulls: Eric Gordon, TE for 3.1M, Willie Warren

Pros - Bulls, in my opinion, get the most qualified SG of this era in Eric Gordon to pair with their Superstar Derrick Rose: Gordon had a 22-Point season average this year with the Clippers; he's 22-years-old; he's more than a capable defender; and he played both AAU Basketball and USA Basketball with Rose. As for Bulls' losing Joakim Noah, I wouldn't be discouraged a bit; his absence should welcome a breakout season for Omer Asik in terms of rebounding and defense, a la OKC's experience with James Harden after Jeff Green departed.

PG: Rose, Nolan Smith(#28)
SG: Gordon, Brewer
SF: Deng, Kyle Singler(#26)
PF: Boozer, Thomas
C: Asik, Gibson

Hollinger's Analysis: 1 Win

---
Los Angeles Clippers: Dwight Howard

Pros - Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin surpass David Robinson and Tim Duncan as the best front-court duo of all-time right off the bat. (I didn't stutter.) Also, Howard gets his wish: "I'm leaving Disney World for Hollywood? Who said that?" (You.)

PG: Mo Williams, Eric Bledsoe
SG: TBD, TBD
SF: Moon, Aminu
PF: Griffin, Kaman
C: Howard, Jordan

Hollinger's Analysis: 2 Wins

---

Orlando Magic: Joakim Noah, Rudy Gay

Pros - If your theory about success in the postseason is determined by which team has the advantage at each matchup night in and night out, then this transaction is obviously a start to relate. Rudy Gay, while a ball-stopper at times, is an explosive athlete on the wing who can create his own shot and is relatively young with a high enough ceiling to improve more and more. Same for Joakim Noah, he's relatively young and has a high enough ceiling to continue to improve. Both complements Orlando's rebuilding plan once there's no more dependence on Superman.

PG: Nelson, Arenas
SG: Richardson, Redick
SF: Gay, Turkoglu
PF: Bass, Anderson
C: Noah, Orton

Hollinger's Analysis: 7 losses

---

Memphis Grizzlies: Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes, Charlotte 2012 First-Round Pick

Pros - Grizzlies -- not Thunder -- are the only team in the last five years to have not consistently missed out on surefire talents and therefore this day was going to have to come: either it's Marc Gasol and OJ Mayo who'll have to leave, or it's Rudy Gay who'll have to be traded. Which one will it be? If I'm a Grizzlies fan, I'm taking Gasol and Mayo over Gay. Not that Gay isn't good enough to get your franchise over the top; I just like my chances with the other two. After all, they played so well without Gay in the second-half of the season this year and were two series away from winning it all without him. Plus, the franchise has quality role-players on the wing in Allen, Young and Battier. All in all, I expect them to trade him and say they couldn't afford all three of their hefty price-tags just after the team's owner rewarded Zach Randolph and Mike Conley new contracts. In light of this, the Memphis franchise will be well-off in terms of flexibility. Gomes is a quality Forward who will have only three-years remaining on his contract and Foye will have only two-years remaining.

PG: Conley, Foye
SG: Mayo, Allen, Henry
SF: Battier, Gomes, Young
PF: Randolph, Arthur
C: Gasol, Haddadi

Hollinger's Analysis: 4 Losses

Gomes - Quality foward. HAHAHAHA

You had me right up until that sentence

I'm a New Yorker born and bred. I support my Jets, Mets, Red Storm and Islanders. I also love my out-of-state Bulls, Clippers, Cowboys & Fighting Irish.

One of the dumbest proposals I've ever read on BaB

So Mephis is trading Rudy Gay (a top 4 SF) for Foye, Gomes and a first round pick? Ha!

You can't count on Asik for a whole season.

In his short career he has had a lot of injuries.

i don't understand why i keep seeing people

put thomas as a backup PF and Gibson as a back up center in these hypothetical lineups

Let us cavort like the Greeks of old! You know the ones I mean.

If you think the Bulls can win a title with Noah and Boozer

than you’re stupider than Tyrus Thomas.

Noah is a liability on offense 4/5 of the time. He would be great next to Dwight Howard, but without a dominant big man next him offensively he’s overrated at best. He’s an overachiever like Heinrich, Duhon, Deng….

He’s great until he’s matched up with someone dominant, than he’s as useless as they come. I’d rather have Kendrick Perkins, they’re both injury plagued anyway.

To be honest, Boozer is the weakest starter on the bulls. He’s a bigger matchup nightmare than Bogans even. Every skilled big man can humiliate Boozer every night. Boozer was a terrible acquisition. Even Stoudemire can occasionally play some defense…

i, for one, when we got the number 1 seed thought that we can win the title. and i know i’m not alone.

Walk the talk, Bulls.
