May 10th article from Hoopdoctors broaches this question - using Iverson's move to SG as an example, with Snow as PG. Thoughts?

Personally, I prefer DRose as a PG, but the article got me out of the box a bit..

It’s not about whether he’s a good PG as much as whether he could be better and help the bulls more as a SG. I’d never really thought about it because Derrick Rose the PG is so ingrained in my head. I mean if the bulls could sign either a PG or a SG, it might give them more options to get better.

At $300 million, I don't want Albert Pujols anywhere near the Cubs.

I actually am not opposed to this. Derrick Rose could be like a Dwayne Wade. I think

this plays to his strengths, let him be a scorer who can pass the ball. This could be the solution.

No

In my opinion, he’s a better PG than SG. If we could just get a good shooting guard that’s only half of Ray Allen or Half of Kobe (who was half of Mike… maybe not even that much, sorry) it would suit this team a whole lot better than moving rose to SG and having player X play PG.

This is how you know how bad everyone wants our team to get a better, maybe permanent starting SG. They’re now considering moving Derrick Rose to SG, and thinking things would be better that way.

Not to sound spiteful in a childishly way or anything, but I’m still having trouble recognizing the fact Derrick Rose’s past recent teammates @ SG have yet to surpass a Meanstreets-ballin’ 18-year-old by the name of Eric Gordon as the best player to have balled-out with Rose. In layman terms, keep Rose at the one and find a two this offseason. Rose decent where he at, homie.

As a Englewood native, I take much pride in watching D.Rose perform out on the court.

It doesn't really matter

Even when Iverson technically played SG, he was still pretty much the primary ballhandler. in the pre-Lebron days, Dwyane Wade technically played SG, but he was also still pretty much the primary ballhandler. PG and SG are pretty much just labels. Getting another guy who can handle the ball and putting him next to Rose would almost certainly be a good idea (as long as that other guy is good, of course). If you want to call him the PG and make Rose the SG, whatever, as long as Rose isn’t guarding 2s on a regular basis.

Pat Riley is the devil.

Exactly what I was going to say.

The move to the “scoring PG” has created less of a need of labels. As long as they get someone who can guard SG and can shoot 3’s, I don’t care what labels they use.

I suppose keeping him at PG, would allow both he and MJ to be on the All-Time Bulls team in the future. BTW, yes: Rose, MJ, Scottie, __________, _________

In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).

Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
