The Inevitable Woj Piece on Bulls Game 1 Win
The Heat’s offense is constructed for Thibodeau’s defense. As one longtime associate said, "When has Tom ever lost a series to a team running delay isolation in the playoffs? Even with the Rockets, they lost to the Utah Jazz. Ball movement can attack the defense, but not isolation. It doesn’t work."

Woj may be bombastic, but I still kind of love reading him.
To wit:
Had these Heat come to the Eastern Conference finals expecting a coronation, a victory lap on the resurrection of a jagged season, the Bulls were waiting in the shadows of a dark alley, waiting for the whistling Heat to come strutting around the corner and catch a 2×4 upside their heads.

my favorite part
James had ended the conference semifinals bowing down on one knee to honor the beating back of his ghosts against the Celtics. This time, the Bulls are threatening something else, threatening to bring him to both knees.

The master of overstatement.
Nowhere else would the Heat meet a worse matchup, a blurring, blitzing blend of defensive ferocity and scheme. Nowhere else would the Heat’s star find a test like these Chicago Bulls.
He’s developed into a personification of Thibodeau’s system, infiltrated through body and mind. For Deng, Thibodeau has had transformative powers. For the first time in his career, the Bulls are getting everything out of him, tapping his full promise.
Sam Smith might be the only person who can match Woj’s gift for absurd statements like these.
the second quote i liked
i feel like this is really is the luol deng we’ve been waiting for years.
consistent play. hits THREE POINTERS and not long 2’s.
plays GREAT defense. its just awesome to watch
now if only he could dribble…
The quest for seven is on.
his dribbling is underrated now, i think
it’s not pretty, but he’s been pretty effective with it.
Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

But Woj ... I thought only the Heat could beat themselves from now?
