The pickings are … well, slim is the wrong word. There are plenty of twos with the potential to become contributors in the league. But there are few that are special, who project as first-rounders or potential stars.
IMO that all we need with Rose..we dont need no “superstar” 2 takin’ all the shots, just a solid shooter, that can take pressure off rose and defend

Actually
having just read the article I’m more encouraged than I was that the Bulls will be able to find someone if they hold onto their picks.
I don't think we go SG in the 1st anyway..
Unless Burks somehow falls to us. If we keep both 1sts, I’d rather see a PG and SF taken, then take a chance on one of the 2nd round SG’s.
I still hope we move that MIA pick, next year’s 1st and garbage for Mayo. They have no 1st AND they have to resign ZBo after this playoff run, you would think.

I still say Ray Allen or Jason Richardson is the way to go. Keep Brewer and Korver on the bench. Brogans can stay to be the 12th man if he wants to. We just need a nevermissathree who can start.

I think Allen is out...
but Richardson has been my go to choice since the Mayo deals never materialized.
He’ll be 30 years old so not completed on the down side of his career. I have no idea what the market for him will be like with the new CBA but a 3 year deal or possibly a 4 year one doesn’t seem completely awful.
Draft a SF to back up Deng
And then if you don’t see anything else we can use, just trade the picks for future ones.
It’s not like we’re going to be adding a lot of guys into the rotation next year. Replace Bogans with Brewer and Korver, and you’re probably fine. Thomas I assume will need to be replaced, but he’s the 5th big man, that shouldn’t be hard. And it’s possible both of those guys come back anyways.
We have 9 guys, in Rose, Deng, Boozer, Noah, Brewer, Korver, Watson, Asik, Gibson who are all returning and still going to get significant minutes. Considering our financial constraints with Noah, Deng and Boozer’s big contracts, our options are pretty limited.
Unless you can find a significant upgrade over Brewer at SG in a trade or on the cheap in free agency, the only really “need” we have is a back up for Deng. That shouldn’t be hard to find with the draft picks and flexibility we have.
