2010-2011 Game Preview #63: Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Bobcats
[Thanks to JustAnotherFan for today's game preview (I mean, better than nothin'). Early start at 6. -ed.]
Ok, since we only have a few hours I will make this quick just so we have a preview.
1) I hate playing the Bobcats and it seems Rose does too, averaging this year 4.3 turnovers per game against them
2) The Heat is helping by losing game after game so it’s time to clinch that 2nd and make a run for the number 1 spot.
3) Those ‘Cats are not the same we played before. They lost Gerald Wallace and that really should set Deng free. Also they won’t have Tyrus again and both Matt Carroll and Stephen Jackson are game time decisions
4) Normally I would say this one is in the bag but I thought that about last game when NO played without Chris Paul and it was a really tough game. And Charlotte really needs that W. They are very close to Indiana for the last playoff spot.
5) Yet the team is broken and have lost 5 in a row – last one to VDN and Clippers when Henderson had 20 points and Boris Diaw almost had a triple-double for the Cats with 19 points, eight rebounds and eight dimes
6) This should be a boring game either a blowout or a NO type of game.
7) We are closer to Cleveland record last year than Miami. Thibs for COY! Rose for MVP! GarPaxDorf for GMOY! Scal for GOY!

Reinsdorf said today in the media that the Bulls have a good chance to win 4 Championships.
Just thought I’d put this up here since I didn’t see it on the blog anywhere.
About this game…yeah the Bobcats have sure played us tough this year and I wouldn’t count them out at all with players off the team. We will have to fight hard to focus tonight after the high of beating Miami again like vs. NO. On paper sure we beat them easily and definitely have a much better team. Gotta stomp on their throats and keep that killer mentality up. I like the comment made here, either it’ll be a blowout or a no-type of game. That seems right to me, either we focus and blow them out or we lose focus and miss baskets, it see saws finally we gain focus and it’s close. Here’s hoping for the “boring” type of blowout…we could use resting a few starters at the end.

The Bobcats management wants to lose now. They are tanking. However the
players may not feel the same, especially since they have beaten the Bulls twice this year. Without Wallace or Thomas or Jackson (gametime decision), the Bulls really should romp. But I would have thought they would have romped over the Hornets without Paul.
I hope the Bulls use this game to work on their offense while not forgetting their awesome defense and rebounding.
GOY?
Just taking a stab….Ginger of the Year?

Court side for this one
I’m here in Charlotte for the game so hopefully my presence will ignite Rose to turn it around against MJ’s squad. Haha anyways time to keep this streak going boys. Go Bulls!!
This is the first time we're playing them with Noah in the lineup.
Little quote from Noah:
"The city is excited about this team and I think they have a right to be, but for us as players you know, our mentality is different," Noah said. "You got to take it game by game, not get too excited and really focus on the moment, focus on playing game by game and staying consistent."

Bobcats management has no incentive to play him.
But the players still have an incentive to play, so we’ll see what happens when management wants them to lose.
Przybilla may be
held out as well. Knee “hurting a lot.”
Forgive me if I am suspicious about the Bobcats holding all these players out. But let’s take advantage!
KC just said he's out, too.

The Bobcats will be pussycats tonight. There's no way the Bulls can lose.
The Bulls have held their opponents to 81.1 ppg over their last 7 (6-1) games. The Bobcats have lost 5 straight averaging only 81.2 and are 3-22 when held to less than 90 points.
No more Wallace, no Jackson, no Tyrus, no way.
Speaking of Bobcats, I live in Tucson right next to a nature preserve. Yesterday a beautiful bobcat came up to my front door looking for my 10 lb. yorkie-poodle who was barking ferociously at him. The muscular bobcat merely gave him a staredown and a shrug. Maybe this is an omen. If a real bobcat can’t work itself up over a yorkiepoo, I can’t see the Charlotte version getting worked up against a herd of charging Bulls.
If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

Oh, there's plenty of ways the Bulls can lose.
Just none are very likely.

that's the bobcat way. they aren't that big, but they aren't housecats either. no reason to get worked up over a yorkie. or go all 'fraid-y.
bobcats are impressive in person, to say the least. the bulls need to be a stealthy wolf-hybrid* tonight, not a yorkie-poo!

Anyone know of a radio station streaming the game?
The usual suspects are not working.
