The Heat can't put good teams away, either.

In a game eerily similar to our recent game against the Hawks, the choke-artists from Miami gave another big lead away in a big game.

In both games one team (Heat, Bulls) was up by a lot at halftime (18 and 17 points, respectively) and in both games that team lost by three.

Orlando did it with the three, and the Hawks came back with...well mostly Horford, so there were definitely huge differences that I'm not denying. Also, the Bulls were on the road, and the Heat at home (just terrible).

Conclusions:

We are probably as good as the Heat. A bunch of people on the gamethreads were saying things equivalent to "Oh noes, we r not elitez!!!111!!!!"

It was one game, people.

Teams have mental lapses. Contending teams can, too. The Lakers have had ridiculous losses all season. No one's counting them out of the championship race.

Back to the elite thing. If the Heat can lose that lead and that game on their home floor and still be counted among the league's best, then surely we can give away a road game to the Hawks and still be elite. And if the Heat aren't......then there's only one elite team in the Eastern Conference?? (what the hell does elite mean, anyway?)

Also, the Heat are begging us to pass them in the standings. Here's to higher playoff seeding! W00T
