This is looking like a major dent in Rose's MVP campaign

Especially with LeBron dropping 51/11/8 this week

Everyone has been trying as hard as they can not to give it to Lebron.

I saw T2 at Walgreens in Deerfield he’s tall. if you’re wondering what his grocery list included: magnums, french vanilla ice cream and a 20 oz sprite

It should be split by him and Wade, though.

The fucking Warriors are playing dynasty Bulls type of defense

With Curry and Ellis being Jordan and Pippen

I believe in The Bogans Prophecy.

by Juiceboxjerry on Feb 5, 2011 11:20 PM CST reply actions

Here’s a question, since Rose has been getting doubled/tripled team all night, why doesn’t the other Bulls players come to the ball?

by k21c on Feb 5, 2011 11:20 PM CST reply actions

An MVP candidate can't not get to the line one time in a game like this

That’s just ridiculous, I’m sorry. Have to drive the ball more

This is so effing terrible

I mean, he usually eats double- and triple-teams for breakfast, especially when his teammates are standing still, not paying attention, and shooting like crap. WTF?

But its not like anyone else is tearing it up in his absence. Boozer has been a no show in this quarter. Korver is colder than shit now. Brewer shows us why he is only a good defensive player. Bogans is…….well Bogans. CJ is gettin eatin alive by Curry. Enough blame for everyone here.

people were saying Noah was more valuable than Rose

over the summer. Now he can be replaced by Thomas? I don’t think so. Especially against mobile big men or guards who penetrate the lane. Plus he is our 2nd best offensive big outside of Boozer.

by Basketball Smurf on Feb 6, 2011 12:19 AM CST up reply actions

It's not meant to be a slight towards Noah, more of a compliment for Kurt

I think he;s played that well. Besides, I do think that there will be some improvement. I just don’t think it will be the jump that people are expecting. Kurt’s physicality, and size (width) was a big help in a lot of these games. Not to mention, he hit a lot of 15 foot jumpers

I believe in The Bogans Prophecy.

That was probably the worst collective effort I've seen from the Bulls since Rose was drafted.

Yes, they totally got outplayed, but it’s not excuse to spaz out like they did the second half. Hope things get sorted out before the next game.

The Spurs earlier lost by like 20 to the Clippers

The good part is we’ve remained competetive against the top tier competition in the league. Now we just gotta prove it on the road. I would pen Monday in Portland as an important game in terms of beating good teams on the road, especially with the crowd at the Rose garden

Honestly this game had Courtney lee written all over it.

Couldn’t keep bogans out there cause of his terrible offense and brewer Isnt a small fast guard, he was getting burned. Lee would have been good for us.

Did you guys hear about the new Lebron James Iphone?

I’d like to keep the bench intact and they should be able to get Lee for a draft pick or so.

completely untrue

Lee isn’t a pure shooter,, but he has a decent outside shot. And, unlike Korver, he actually has some lateral ability that lets him guard some of the quicker guards.

I'm really not even mad that we lost to be honest

I can live with a few road defeats. We’ve been playing really well lately, they should get a pass every once in a while. HOWEVER, the thing that bugs me is Rose getting absolutely embarrassed by Monta Ellis, and Stephen Curry. That’s the type of shit that will linger for a long time.

Now we’re gonna have to hear on 8 million different blogs for the rest of the year about this game, and the awfulness that occurred. It’s not gonna be fun. If we lost, but Rose balled his ass off, I’d sleep like a 15 year old kid that just got laid for the first time.

Random thought

Were 1 1/2 game behind Miami for the 2nd seed, and Atlanta is now just 2 games behind us. We gotta make sure this a one game ordeal cuz they’re climbing on us fast

by Rose1 on Feb 6, 2011 12:13 AM CST reply actions

All these losses we have I just put it on Jo-No not playing.

With him in this game we win. Same with The Knicks game, both Charlotte games, The Nets, The Clips… (sigh) We he comes back all is right in the world

The only thing that concerns me is that Derrick gets over this loss.

The Warriors did a lot of unusual things tonight and pretty much just gave you the formula on how to beat the Bulls. Blitz and double Rose and make his teammates beat you. Give the Warriors credit they wanted this game and they wanted to show up Derrick Rose. They did it. Lesson learned never take a team for granted.

Until the Bulls get a worthy shooting guard and a decent backup PG I would think more teams would game plan similar for the Bulls. Most teams won’t but the really good teams will in the playoffs.

I thought Thibs got out coached tonight but at the same time his players didn’t help him out by playing awful transition defense and getting broke down by Ellis and Curry.

I hope this festers in Rose because now that you’re a good team people have a Bullseye on you.

This is what it must feel like to be the Lakers or Celtics or Heat. Thats respect in away.

by SoulEater7 on Feb 6, 2011 12:23 AM CST reply actions

I still think Rose is a little too one dimensional

He doesn’t yet have the pg like ability to methodically rip a team apart using smart passing. I’m not trying to rip him here, but I think that’s the next step in his evolution. I don’t care how hard they trapped him, a great point guard should NEVER let a team get to him like that. CP3 would’ve had his teammates getting dunks after seeing that kind of defense two or three times.

He’s gotta get smarter with the way he attacks teams. Also, they were up on him the entire game. How about a pump fake, and throw yourself into the guy for a couple easy free throws? He never uses that move when it’s an easy way to get points

I believe in The Bogans Prophecy.

by Juiceboxjerry on Feb 6, 2011 12:28 AM CST up reply actions

Also, how about a few more steals?

The defense this year has been stellar, but for a guy with that speed, it’s almost unthinkable that he’s not getting more takeaways.

I believe in The Bogans Prophecy.

by Juiceboxjerry on Feb 6, 2011 12:30 AM CST up reply actions

He's used to just having his way with opposing guards

When he’s double teamed or triple teamed he does look a bit flustered. I agree with you about being able to ‘methodically rip a team apart’. A good pass when you’re being double team leads to easy points and frustrates the other team. I still think its all helping to positively hellp his game get better with these kinds of losses.

"Are you drowning them or makin' love to them?"

by Bullsarenumber1 on Feb 6, 2011 12:44 AM CST up reply actions

He got frustrated.
It seems like his mentality in this situation, is to use his speed to beat the defenders with the dribble. When he couldn’t do that he got in even worse situations where he had to throw desperation passes, which frequently were stolen or deflected. I think this is a game he can learn from.

meh Bulls didnt play defense and DRose had an off game tonight so the Bulls lost. it happens

Dont think DRose is going to fester but he knows he needs to play better in order to win on the road

by MCREW on Feb 6, 2011 12:32 AM CST up reply actions

Derrick couldn’t get his teammates the ball half the time.
Deng is the only other person on the team who can create anything with the dribble, and that’s kind of a scary thought against a team that’s trapping and scrambling like that. This puts me back where I was earlier in the season. We could really use a legit secondary ball handler/ creator in the lineup. A Hinrich type as it were, but preferably somebody who’s an actual SG.

Rose just needs his running partner.

I can’t believe D-Rose needs his Center to get more fastbreak points. It’s just how slow everyone is and how good Jo-No is
