Because I do not not watch hockey (nor will I ever seeing as I think it's the worst professional sport this country has) I was unaware that they actually did an All-Star Game draft featuring captains. While I do not think civility would be maintained if it were tried in the NBA, this does not stop me from thinking that this would be a FANTASTIC idea. It would be the closest thing to the WWE meeting the NBA without any in-ring action. I learned of the notion on Simmons' mailbag:

Without doing a massive quote, he proposed the captains would be Wade and Kobe and the first part of the draft would be drafting the starters that were voted in first. Also a good move, in my opinion. Here are the teams:
Team Wade: LeBron James (1), Chris Paul (3), Carmelo Anthony (5), Amar'e Stoudemire (7).
Team Kobe: Dwight Howard (2), Kevin Durant (4), Derrick Rose (6), Blake Griffin (8).
I agree that I think that part of the draft would go in that direction. He also did a bench draft, but I am less interested. So, who would win? Who would your bench draft be? Would you draft the teams differently? Personally, I think team Kobe slaughters team LeBron because of the difference in size and explosiveness. Durant is a better scorer than Melo, Blake is more explosive than Amar'e, Rose is more explosive than Paul and, well, Team Wade has no real center.
