Jamar Smith reclamation? Former Illini leads D-League in 3-pt percentage.

Jamar Smith was the best 3-pt shooter Illinois had in years until his DUI tragedy nearly killed a teammate and led to his banishment to Southern Indiana.

Known for his quick release and deadly accuracy, Smith was a product of Peoria Richwoods.  He earned DII player of the year honors with Southern Indiana.  Turned down money overseas last year and just this season has made the transition to point guard, a position he never played before.

He leads the D-League in 3-pt shooting while playing all season.  51% FG, 86% FT, and a tidy 47% on threes.

Any thoughts on grabbing this guy?  Could Thibideau be persuaded to give him more than 30 seconds a game?
