Saw this on Realgm and thought it was pretty interesting. Not shocking because they apparently turned down Courtney Lee for Asik.
Of those teams, Chicago has been rumored to be the most likely landing spot, with the Willoughby News-Herald reporting the Cavs have already offered Parker to the Bulls. Word is the Cavs were seeking 7-foot center Omar Asik in return, but the Bulls refused.
Instead, it seems more likely Parker -- if he is indeed dealt by the Feb. 24 deadline -- would garner a second-round pick. The Cavs would probably do that at some point, but are wise not to rush into anything.
Cavs are trying to get some value for a 35 year old expiring contract which is understandable and other teams might like him as a rental vet shooting guard. Boston and the Spurs even? So to me this seems the most likely deal the Bulls might be able to come up with for the trade deadline. So Parker might not even start but could be added for depth come playoff time. If there is anything I've learned it's that Asik has decent trade value.
