Bulls lead Butler suitors
As Caron Butler completes his personal tour of NBA suitors, the Chicago Bulls remain the team to beat for him, league sources said.
Butler left his meeting with the Bulls earlier this week with a deep appreciation for coach Tom Thibodeau, sources said. Butler’s willingness to take less money from a championship contender is made easier with his personal business holdings.

No offers so far?
According to league sources, the Bulls have not yet offered the $5 million mid-level exception to any player, including Butler, who is meeting with the Nets on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, last season’s starter, Keith Bogans, continues to work out at Berto Center and looks to be in great shape.
They also say we are not looking for anyone else for now
Probably not popular sentiment on this blog, but I'm not opposed to keeping Bogans in Chicago.
Just NOT in a starting role.
Wait, so we're no longer looking at Richardson or Crawford?
or we’re not looking at anyone outside of those two plus Butler?

aaaand I answered my own question by reading the first paragraph of the article
(for anyone else that’s too lazy to click the link — we’re not looking at anyone outside of who we’ve already contacted i.e. JRich, Crawford, Butler, etc.)

Score 1 for us lazy people!
"Violence is not always the answer."
"Violence is the question, and the answers always YES!"
my bad
should’ve said that this was outside the ones we already knew

so the top players in the NBA are all linked with the major cities they are/want to be in:
Dwight and LA, CP and NY, Amare and NY, the three chumps in Miami
And it’s all apparently because that’s the city they want, not because they have the chance to win. So I guess it’s only “small names” who are going to express interest in coming to Chicago to win championships?
I guess it really is that cold.
light em up
real men stay in there cities
super teams are for players in there prime are sissies or older are veteran ring chasers.
Celtics: 3 veterans looking for a one last hurrah before they retire
Knicks/Heat: Bunch of spineless players looking for attention.

i never had a problem with the celtics' big 3 because it was done the right way
no one forced their way out. the t-wolves did garnett a favor (finally, and a little gift from mchale) and the sonics were going into rebuilding mode. i respect the big 3 because they were classy professionals before coming together. miami and NY’s superstars are just big prima donnas.

I have to disagree
Garnett is not a classy professional.
lol
but no one really realized that until he came to boston. everyone liked him before then. ;)
Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

he isn't classy on the court
but respected the play/owner relationship. Noah is reviled by 29 other teams, and we even hated him for being a knucklehead the first few seasons, but when he stopped being an issue for our team, he became a true professional. He still pisses people off, but he comes to play, and play hard, and as far as I’ve seen, despite the trash talk on and near the court (when he was injured) Garrett wants to play to win.

Amar'e isn't a prima donna!
"Did Michael Jordan join the Pistons when he couldn't beat them? No. He dug down deep and went out and kicked their fucking ass."
Though he was being a humongous douche in the Christmas game last year.

if butler is healthy
He and crawford would be a nice upgrade at the 2 guard. Butler could also back up deng at the 3.

If we get any combination of...
Crawford and Butler or say Crawford an Richardson and we only have to give up Brewer and one other peice to make it all work….I’m down for that! Especialy now that Miami just picked up Battier. Looks like Hills headed to NYC too!
