HoopsHype.com Season Predictions
All five columnists pick Miami to beat Oklahoma City in the Finals. However, two of the five columnists pick New York to reach the Eastern Conference Finals instead of Chicago. Also, three of the five columnists pick the Lakers to reach the Western Conference Finals instead of Dallas.

Take some of that with a grain of salt.
One of the guys putting NY ahead of Da Bullz is from Milwaukee, also the only guy to have the Bucks in the playoffs. The only guy to have the Suns in the playoffs is from Phoenix. Homerism reeks, don’t it?
Plus, two guys voted VDN as CoY. Yeah. Sure. In some universe different from this one.
LBJ as DPOY? Really? Above Dwight? Heck, above Lu?
And Kobe is no longer NBA Elite. He’s NBA Great. He’s not better than D-Wade (as much as I hate him).
The milaukee guy has the Bulls being the 4th seed?
1. Miami
2. New York
3. Orlando
4. Chicago

People outfox themselves,
when they believe a wins total is a fluke.

i fuckin love this
yet again, the bulls are being underestimated again. Great, last yr, we on 62 games without a SG who can score and made it to the freekin ECF. This yr, these fuckers are gonna be wrong again with these predictions!

and I bet after the 62 wins
the first thing you did was look up old predictions!

I lol’d at two people picking VDN as coach of the year.
If I got Derrick Rose in a room alone what I would do is not acceptable by law. But it would result in our kids.
heh, idiots. Their IQ must be far below the nations average IQ
Anyone who picks vinny as coach of the yr clearly don’t watch the NBA.
cause he's got the athleticism of drose and the passng of cp3
duh!

no one had the bulls higher than 4th last year.
glad to welcome the haters again this year!
i can’t take anyone seriously who thinks new york is the 2 seed.
Look
I didn’t want to offend anyone by saying the "f" word or generalizing my statement to any particular sex by saying "gays" or lesbians" or "bi’s" so "homos" is the most "politically correct" term. I’m just trying to be more tact in a tactless blog.

Ugh, people are dumb
Only 6 teams (9 seasons between them) have won 62 or more games and sported a DRtg less than 102.
Here is what they did the next year:
1. 69-13 record, won championship (Bulls)
2. 56-26 record, won championship (Lakers)
3. 62-20 record, lost in 2nd round (Celtics, Kevin Garnett was out in playoffs)
4. 52-30 record, lost 1st round (76ers, won NBA finals previous year)
5. 58-24 record, won championship (Spurs)
6. 57-25 record, lost first round (Sonics, went to finals the next year and lost to Bulls)
7. 58-24 record, lost NBA finals (76ers)
8. 13-37 record, (Bulls, no Jordan, no Pippen, no Rodman, no Phil Jackson, gutted team)
9. Last year’s Bulls
Ok, so let’s see. Of those 8 teams, 3 won championships the next year. Of those who didn’t win championships the next year, 2 had just won championships. The remaining 2 did make an NBA finals the next season or the season after. Bottom line: teams that win 62 games and play great defense don’t just drop drastically. They stay in title contention until the team is broken up. The Bulls record may change, but they will remain competitive.
