Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Compares Derrick Rose with other great young point guards.

These six young point guards have been considered players who can instantly make a franchise relevant. If they were all available (and it seems most of them have been on the market), who would you pick to be the face of your team for the next 5-10 years?

The answer's obviously Rose, but let's make it interesting.

Who do you pick if you can’t take Rose? For the next 5 years, I’ll take Williams. For the next 10 years, I’ll take Westbrook.

Pat Riley is the devil.

I'd pick Wall

despite his surrounding cast and the highlights of Blake Griffth, I thought John Wall had of the most underrated rookie campaigns for a PG in recent memory.

Hey Rose. I don't see the appeal!

he also only played 69 games....

I think hes going to be really good, but 69 games in your first season….its kinda worrisome isnt it

I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!

he missed 13 games?

that’s a minor injury not a major one.

Ummmmmmmm

How many games did Blake Griffin play in his “rookie” season?

I hope I can say I did my best, achieved a lot and won a couple of world championships. - Michael Jordan, circa 1984.

I'd take D.Will

Though making Sloan retire has to be a warning sign

I only posted it here and CelticsBlog, hope that's ok

Rondo has no votes, so I guess he’ll be dead last unless Bill Simmons figures out how to vote a million times.

I’d pick Rose/Williams. Paul would have been the pick a year ago, but Rose improved a lot and Paul is on the way down (unless if you’re the Clippers or a sportswriter, then you say Paul is in his prime). Westbrook or Wall might make a leap. It’s hard to guess.
